  1. #1-Houston Texans

    #2-St. Louis Rams

    #3-Jacksonville Jaguars

    #4-Cleveland Browns

    #5-Oakland Raiders

So, would anyone like to take a shot at the draft order for the first five picks?

This is definitely a year where there is no consensus number one pick.

Heres my uneducated guess: *of course this is assuming everyone stays in their draft position, just to keep it from getting really confusing.

    1--Blake Bortles, QB, UCF

    2--JaDaveon Clowney, DE, S. Carolina

    3--Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas AnM

    4--Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson

    5--Khalil Mack, LB, Buffalo

I think Bortles is the safest pick out of the Big 3 QBs, so Texas goes with that.

Rams take Clowney because he's just too irresistible to pass up.

JAX needs to sell tickets. Johnny Football=excitement

Browns bolster their offense yet again and add Watkins to a receiving corps that includes Josh Gordon, Nate Burleson and Jordan Cameron.

Raiders take what many say is the best overall player in the draft, even though he played at a small school.

    What say you?

  2. I think I would go Watkins at #4 and trade up to get back into the top 10, and I would still be willing to roll the dice on Manziel.

If they get Watkins and Manziel, I will run one lap around my neighborhood block, naked.

  3. lol Thanks!

Right now, I like Manziel...but that could change by the Draft.

If they get Sammy Watkins (WR Clemson) and a QB, I'd be ecstatic.

And, I know it was only a 2 game sampling, but I think Hoyer can get them to the playoffs. He watched Tom Brady for a couple of years. That has to be worth SOMETHING?

Also, dont be surprised if the Browns pick at #4 and then trade back up. They have three of the first 35 picks.

I'm glad I dont have to make the decision. This is why I wont get a tattoo.

  4. Gotta tell ya, I'm thinking the Browns have made the most improvement via free agency, so far.

Ben Tate, Nate Burleson, Andrew Hawkins, Chris Pressley being scooped up, along with the re-signing of Alex Mack should make for a much improved offense.

And Donte Whitner, Carlos Dansby and Isaih Trufant should bolster an already fairly stout defense.

    Anyways, Gruden v. Gruden

  5. BROWNS release  LB D'Qwell Jackson:
“To the people of Cleveland and Browns fans everywhere: Eight years ago I began a journey that blessed me with the opportunity to be a part of a wonderful organization and community. I want to take this time to thank each and every one of you for opening your arms and hearts to my family and me, and for making Cleveland an easy place to love and call home. It’s been an honor playing in front of you.” – D’Qwell Jackson

  6. Lots of stories flying around about this. Including one that says Harbaugh went so far as to consult with his wife and kids.

He is from Toledo, Ohio and his grandparents live about 30 minutes from Cleveland.

Dont be surprised if he is not San Frans coach after this year. Apparently, he rubs some people the wrong way in the 49ers organization.

    Where theres smoke, theres fire.

I'm not saying he will be Clevelands coach, they have their guy.

But if another opportunity opens up (Raiders?...or a high profile college program?), it would not surprise me to see his name at the top of that teams list.

  7. It looks like Manziels stock has dropped a bit since he measured in at under 6ft. Also, he is not throwing at the scouting combine.

Maybe the Browns should take Sammy Watkins, WR from Clemson, at #4?

OR, if Ja'daveon Clowney is there, well...alot of people are saying he will be the next Reggie White.

I'm glad I dont have to make this decision.

  8.  Manziel would be my pick.

Is he the guy to be a good QB for the next 10 years? Who knows. He's a little on the small size, about the same as Drew Brees. But I like his heart. He's a rollout QB who can extend the play by moving. Most "mock drafts" have him going to Cleveland at this point. BUT the Texans have the #1 pick and need a QB also. He is famous in Texas (since he played at Texas AnM) and would sell tickets right away. And, lets not forget, he won the Heisman Trophy as a freshman and helped his team drop 40+ points on Alabama two years in a row.

Naturally at this time of year, teams are not going to reveal who they covet, but the Texas GM has said they are willing to listen to offers to trade down. Cleveland has alot of picks, including two first rounders this year. There are three potential starting QBs of the future in this draft: Johnny (Football) Manziel from Texas AnM, Teddy Bridgewater from Louisville and Blake Bortles from Central Florida. Cleveland could stay at #4 and still get one of those guys without doing anything.

But Tegis is correct. The fans are starting to give up, they really need to get this right.
