    I'm going to post some of Dick's Tips as well. These are based studying the form for a few minutes, looking at who's tipping what and the science of "liking the name".

    I'm not going to bet any money on anything yet, but will spend a few days seeing how I do. Then I'll blow my wages and ruin Christmas...

    You should probably put values with you bet, £s or your own currency e.g dicks or would all bets be for the same amount? and then are each way bets half the size of to win bets?

  5. Would also like to know this if anybody can help as now ive gotta drive as they cant be bothered to proviode us with public transport...

    Best bet is to avoid Canal Road/Shipley Airedale road

    Maybe best to cut through the city centre and snake up to Manningham from Thornton Road. I would suggest Lumb Lane and Bowland Street area might be good - only a couple of minutes walk to the ground and on the correct side for a getaway.

    If you see a guy on a bike in an orange jacket, riding up Lumb Lane at about 4.45pm, it's me.

    Fighting Cock - small backstreet real ale boozer a mile from the ground, frequented by myself and mjmooney

    Corn Dolly - real ale pub on the ground side of the city centre.

    There's a couple of Wetherspoons - one in city square and one up behind the Alhambra theatre, 2 mins walk from the square.

  9. My prediction of mjmooney's lunch choice was admittedly wrong. Shoot me down if you like but I am still ITK.

    The Cornish Pasty/Shortbread combo is only a short term appointment - a four hour contract infact.

    Spag Bol will be the long term choice, announced at 7pm (by Mrs Mooney shouting "dinner's ready Mike!".

    There are 4 chairs. Expect Meltdown as cheese is selected up top.

    Have there been any updates on what mjmooney is having for lunch?

    I remain focused and am working hard to secure the best lunch which will complement my commitment to be true to my heritage, competitiveness and passionate appetite, and will have the lunch in place to prepare myself for the afternoon and this evening's pub quiz.

    No further statement will be made until the press conference.

    I am ITK about mjmooney's lunch. I know some of won't like this, but it has proven successful in Italy and over here. I could be wrong about this, but we work at the same place and on the canteen menu today is ... Spaghetti Bolognese...

  11. Any suggestions on what to do with a buttnut squash? Preferably something low fat?

    I'm an expert when it comes to soups so hopefully you'll enjoy this recipe.

    Finely chop one onion and do the same with 1 clove of garlic, fry off the garlic and onion in a large cooking pot for 4-5 minutes, then chop the squash into small chunks, add the chunks to the garlic and onion and fry off for another 5 minutes. Boil some water, put a vegetable or chicken stock (chicken stock works better and will give more flavour) in a measuring jug, once the water has boiled fill the measuring jug up to 250ml, stir until stock has disolved. Once stock has disolved, add that to the squash, onion and garlic, pour a cup of water in too and 40ml of cream. Bring to the boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Season generously with salt and pepper, very finely chop up (just less than a handfull) of corriander add that to the soup and stir then let the soup to cool for 5-10 minutes. Last step, blend the soup with a handheld blender (push the blender into the pot all the way down so it doesn't splash everywhere!) or alternitively, transfer the soup into a electric blender and blend it for around 20 seconds. Re-heat and then serve.

    It's true, the texture of the blended butternut squash gives a really silky texture to the soup.

    I do something similar but using thyme instead of corriander. It's even better with some roast pine nuts and a strong grated cheese on top.

    Cheese, nuts, silky, butt, squash, texture... mmm I'm coming over Nigella. Now there's a thought.
