  1. cast your mind back to last season and mr dunne , mr warnock and mr collins.

We cocked up not keeping mcallister , those three clowns would be gone.

I wont renew till mcleish has gone , the three stooges out the door to be followed by cuellar , heskey and of course stan retireing.

McAllister was terrible! So he would have gotten rid of them because he fell out with them? I'm more inclined to think the problem is McAllister rather than Dunne, Warnock and Collins.

What do you base that statement on , he was in charge when we beat liverpool and aresenal.

  2. Only 3 more home games to go and then my time spent going to VP on match days comes to an end.

Well done Lerner, well done McLeish, you have achieved in one season what no woman has managed to ever achieve, you've stopped me going to the Villa.

I heard this said by so many supporters who go back some way in there support for villa.

I have to decide on renewell for next season . What the heck is going on.

  3. I miss having a manager that i can believe in and look up to.

Ron saunders was my first hero , Tony barton , Sir graham Taylor , big ron , brian little , John gregory and Martin oneil.

Funny , all of the above tasted glory , well gregory lost a final but id sack that useless pile of shit and bring grecian back like a shot.

The way odreary and now mcplop are allowed to talk down and dumb down our great club is a disgrace.

I miss my villa , the one i followed to various shitholes in the second division .

This is my lads first season , hes 11 , i wonder what in 20 years time hell be looking back on and saying he misses it?

Villa till my last dying breath!

  4. Being kept in at old trafford after full time and singing , TARZAN GIVE US A SONG,

    thinking 20,000 was a decent crowd ,

disliking Liverpool with a passion that is still so strong today,

NOT giving a shit about blues because they were so shit,

Losing my match day cash en route from parking my ford cortina by nelson mandella house to the ground against swindon and missing the match , no cash machines then.

  5. We dont want him as manager and he knows it.

We think heskey is a waste of space and he knows it.

Every time i look at him in our dugout it just dont look right and never will.

Im sick of hearing about the cost of sacking him , the cost of keeping him will be awfull for the team next year running out to 25000 fans , if there lucky.

Im bemused by the whole sorry episode, i really am.

  6. I have supported Villa since the 1970's, I have travelled across Europe watching them, I spent a few years in the corporate clouds, with my company taking a box in the Trinity when it first reopened. I used to travel to every away game until the requirement to be close to home meant I was then limited to just home games. Following my sojourn in the Trinity , I have held a season ticket, Doug Lower, 10 rows from the front with a foot in either half - quite the most stunning views.

Next season I will not renew.

This is not a decision I have made lightly, I have agonised long and hard but the long and short is that I am just not enjoying life under Big Eck, I dont like the football, the apparent lack of tactical nous, the atmosphere at the ground. I dont see any light at the end of this tunnel either, even if AMC goes, will not the new encumbent suffer the same financial constraints.

We kid ourselves that "the future is bright", that the kids will come through and take us to the next level but I just dont see it, Delfoneso, Bannan, Clark, Albrighton, Baker, Gardner - all have been disappointing this season to one degree or another.

Our "established" professionals have all flattered to deceive this season, Bent, a luxury we can ill afford. Gabby, a shadow of the player he was. Ireland, disgraceful attitude, likewise Zoggy. Hutton and Warnock - nuff said about them!!

We need the biggest overhaul of a squad than I can ever remeber and we need to do it cost neutral if reports are to believed (and the evidence would tend to support this idea, just look at January!!). I think things may get a lot worse before they get any better and am sorry to say that I have no faith in the current regime putting things right.

No doubt I will support from afar next year - you can never stop supporting your team, but I am afraid my money will be spent elsewhere.

A win today will be lovely but will just paper over the cracks - the die is set - we are in decline!!!!

You know things are bad when supporters of this quality are walking away.

I go back to the 1970s , i know just how this bloke feels , shocking that this situation is being allowed to carry on at the cost of core loyal support, financial madness.

  7. Im very glad to have won saturday , fantastic.

trying to persuade myself to part with the best part of £750 for next season based on what i have witnessesd from mcleish cant be justified at the moment.

With certain big contracts up in the summer , if those funds that are freed up are utilised to remove mcleish and bring in someone like Gus poyet then i will support the club .

We are boring to watch , i want the team to have a core of the youth team in it and am sure they can play with less fear and more freedom under a modern thinking manager.

  8. someone from the club views this and other forums , contact the design genius , heads together , kit designed that people want to buy , club happy , fans happy.

make your customers happy and they give you more money , simple.

  9. Its not all his fault at all.

I class myself as someone who was 100% going to support him at the start of the season but over the course of 27 games that has been eroded.

I dont trust the board to pick the right person to take us forward but as i have posted before , keeping mcleish in charge is nothing short of financial and footballing suicide.

He has kept his job longer than someone who had he not come from small heath would be gone by now.

Its like we have to keep him because he is good at what he does and we are all blinded by a hatred of a shitty little team down the road .
