That's an easy question. Big Ron, without a doubt.
-
Bellamy - no thanks!
-
The Mercury are linking us with Shaun Maloney from Celtic. It seems if he can't agree a new deal with the Bhoys, O'Neill will step in and grab him in January.
-
If Spurs wanted to sell him they wouldn't expect such a silly price. I think Keane would jump at the chance to return to the Midlands. There's no way he's worth more than £8m, and that's pushing it.
-
No we're not overachieving. We underachieved with O'Leary in charge. We should be in the top 7-8 with the squad we've got, and O'Neil is delivering at least that.
-
davies would just encourage route 1 football, hes the reason i hate watching bolton play, and hes a dirty bastardo with his elbows
but i suppose martin could see him as the sort of player who can play the heskey and hartson role.
if hes on a free or a cut price in january then i would take him
Not necessarily. Every team in the land likes to get the ball into the box. Imagine him in the penalty area when a cross comes in. I'd feel more confident that he'd get on the end of it than Baros and Angel.
Bolton are just awful to watch because of Fat Sam's tedious and dreadful tactics, but trust me there's good players in that team.

Saviola and Farfan next summer please
O'Neill said that Saviola wasn't the player he was on the radio Friday night.
-
Kevin Davies is linked in the newspapers today.
Now there's a player i'd love to see in a Villa shirt.
no thanks.
Ditto, no way id rather have Larsson
I think Davies is the most under-rated striker in the country. Larsson's 35 and way way past his best. We've already got one stop gap striker in Sutton without adding another one. We've got a billionaire on board now, and i assume we'll be looking at more than the likes of a past it 35 year old striker when the window opens.

Bournville.world class dark chocolate at a reediculously low price
Cocoa solids 39% minimum
Not even close to "world class"
Pure chocolate is feckin horrible and sickly. Our pallets in this country prefer chocolate with plenty of milk in it. That's why Cadbury's is the best and most popular, and a great Brummie company as well.
-
How anyone could not like GALAXY is beyond me. Much better and its actually real chocolate not like the shit they put in cadburys
No it isn't.
-
None of the above - it's got to be Cadbury's Dairy Milk for me.
Quality.

I don't like the sound of this at all. I've liked everything i've heard and read about Lerner so far, but this name changing rubbish is a no go for me.
I've heard a lot about how Lerner respects history and tradition, and now this.
Sorry Randy but renaming Villa Park is simply not on in my opinion.
-
Damian = Damian Dugdale - he claims to be the nephew of Sir William Dugdale, he used to live in South Africa and now he lives in Sweden
I don't think my personal opinion of him would be fair to put on here, I also don't want a card
He's William Dugdale's nephew??
So is Tory leader David Cameron. Good God, imagine being related to him (even though he's a Villa fan)
-
ssn are reporting that lerner has told his advisors to bid for aston villa ands a announcment is due early this week
Believe that when i see it.
All been said before with nothin happening then either
You're a proper Doubting Thomas, Jez. :winkold:

Richard, Villa is not a big PLC in the realms of Hanson but its still has a relatively big turnover and a massive wage bill by anyone's standard! Therefore there is a due diligence procedure that has to happen and it does take time. Yes my family did write a report and also held council to over a 1,000 supporters at Villa leisure centre three years ago at JF's request.I am on here purely to try and keep the supporters spirits up and reassure them that in my informed opinion I have little doubt about this takeover happening.
Keep up the good work mate, and thanks for reassuring us.
This is a new dawn for the Villa and i can't wait!
-
This is after all a PLC and quite a big one at that
Hardly....
Indeed, not very big at all and I'm surprised "Howard Hodgson" thinks we are, afterall he did a report into us.
Is this you with your pedantic head on again Richard??
Big plc or not, it'll still take a while for it to go through.
-
Anyone heard any whispers about today's board meeting then??
-
Australian fellow i think
Actually he's a Yank now. He changed his nationality because non Americans couldn't buy a certain big business he so sorely wanted (can't remember which one. It might be 20th Century Fox).
When it comes to business, Murdoch would sell his Granny.
-
It's that nasty Rupert Murdoch again.
-
"I believe that Doug Ellis is on his way out. I believe Randy lerner is back in england today trying to close the deal and is optimisitc a deal will be closed early next week"
pat Murphy
Keep every part of your body crossed!! 8)

And SSN are having their usual wankfest at the Barcodes with reports from the ground's open day all through the day!!
Staggering. I really hope that the Matt Bellamy lookalike takes them down, the bunch of jock inbreds!!
You know that's just what i was thinking.
Just what is it with Sky and their infatuation with the Geordies??
Their wankfest over Owen last year had to be seen to be believed.
Anyway, sod them - we're about to a get a manager who turned them down recently.
-
When you say 'this evening', do you mean late afternoon??
It couldn't be later than that, surely??
-
Well the silence is more hopeful that the shit we were being fed last week from those involved in the process
I agree, the current quiet is really very, very exciting
And not much about the takeover/new manager in today's Mail either.
I hope you're right.
