I know we shouldn't read anything into bookies odds, but i'm really not comfortable with McLeish being favourite with Skybet and Victor Chandler
-
GH was 66/1 when that handshake took place! Wish I had a few bob on that
-
H - 8th letter in the alphabet
Ancelotti - 8th favourite for the managers job (acording to skybet)
/straw clutching :winkold:
-
Maybe he wants Villa fans to get him at 20/1 before he accepts

I've just been told today that whatever names have been thrown into the hat - CA has been to BH in the last few days.
Of course the talks with Ancelotti may have come to nothing and he's said "No thanks", but I don't think things are as negative as people
are making out.
my mate is adamant that carlo is going to be named on friday he knows summat but ent letting on but dunno weather to believe or not
Is he ITK?

Trying to get funding for a course I want to do, what a pain in the arse! Last September I was made redundant from an Admin role I done for 6 years, i'm qualified to buggary in administration but no fecker will take me on, i've had 2 interviews in what is coming up to 8 months.
I decided a couple of months ago I wanted to re train to become an nvq assessor, the course to do this is £400, i've asked the job centre 4 times, local grant related companies and a few national ones for help with funding, none of them will help me, so i'm having to save up £400 pissing dole money for it.
I'm not a lazy sod, I genuinely am crying out for work, I was on £16k in my last job, i'm now applying for minimum wage temporary jobs that I dont wanna even do!

Women who have an obsession with a particular animal. It's always women. You know the type, you walk into their office and they have fifty different kinds of model giraffe, giraffe posters on the walls, a giraffe calendar, a giraffe key ring, et bloody cetera. Doesn't have to be giraffes, could be bears. Or cats. Or owls. Or dolphins. You name it.
Grrrr.
Reminds me of David Walliams in that Little Britain sketch......

This seems a good place to post my injury, i'm training for a 10km run which im doing the end of March, I have been running 3-4km twice a week for a while, but have upped it to focus on this 10km run.
Last Thursday I ran 6.5km in 41 minutes, on Sunday I ran 7.1km in 45 minutes.
I was hoping to do another run today but my thighs are hurting, i'm hoping to go tomorrow but don't think I can. I could push myself and probably do 3-4km tomorrow but I know this pain will be there after i've ran.
Anyone else ever had this problem? I presume it's quite common, any advice?

I'll tell you something that really pisses me off:
The fact that an individual may have a great idea for a business venture, but the barriers to getting anything going are so high, that it's just not possible for the average person.
For example: I've been looking to set up a watersports venture in Cardiff (in partnership with another guy), but the costs just to get the planning permission required will top £12,000. It's a really sound idea, but without big money - we're not getting anywhere. Meanwhile we get refused grants on the basis that the activities won't be available at the Olympics, and hence they're at the back of the queue.
*Destined to work in a crappy office all his life*
Get on Dragons Den.
I would love to see Deborah Meadens face when you mention watersports to her :winkold:

I was made redundant back in September last year, spent 6 years of my life in Administration, fully qualified, thought i'd walk into any admin job, so didnt think too much of it at the time, spent 2 months applying for admin jobs at the same salary, wasn't getting anywhere, started applying for minimum wage admin jobs in November time thinking i'd easily get one of them, got one interview from abou 40-50 jobs I applied for, didn't get the job, we're now in February, my redundancy money is slowly running out and i'm applying for admin jobs where you dont need any experience and still getting knocked back! I really wish I knew how long i'd be like this for............. pisses me right off signing on the dole with all the work shy bastards when I actually want a job.

I was swore at by AP McCoy, I was about 4 or 5 and I went to night meeting at Bangor On Dee racecourse, having no interest in horse racing at the time I decided to play on the grass where the horses came onto the course, I was in AP's way and he told me to 'get out the way'

Bet365 have just opened their odds for today.
If it is Moyes then the 11/2 they are currently offering looks more attractive then Ashley Youngs bit of fluff
