  1. Losing Martin O'Neill was something that made us all sick. He is clearly someone who shouldn't have left and would be gladly welcomed back.

    RDM is in good stead to impress us alike.

    Looking at our good old managers, very few maintained success after Villa;

    BIG RON - 2nd in 1st Season in prem, should've won it.

    BRIAN LITTLE - kept us 4th ish but did'nt get what needed to take us further, failed after.

    GREGORY - Still a Villan, believed in it. Won 11/13 to keep up then broke records to make us think we could win it, gave us hope but ultimately couldn't deliver. Failed afterwards.

    since him we had a crop of shite - Taylor2, O'Leary, Houillier, then MON

    He started with a squad of players whod escaped relegation and then got us 4th

    Everyone since has failed but he did it. Impressive signings, man management. Proud man, hence why he left. I sincerely hope we get him back one day although he wouldn't do so unless say we are 16th in prem in 2 yrs and RDM not got the answers

    I wish RDM the best but think MON is the best manager to give us success since Ron Saunders, who although unlikeable, achieved our greatest successes.

  2. I agree regarding the QPR wages so would have to leave that to those in control of wages etc.

    Samba? Am I insane? - Insulted, yes but that's why I asked. Have never rated him (hence the over-rated comment). He was touted for some huge clubs and went for a massive fee so can't be that bad. Better than Clark & Baker who need another 2-3 years to be good enough as a first choice CB in the absence of Vlaar (who I like but is no Mellberg).

    McCarthy seems to be liked - I am surprised. Not bad but there is potential. I'm still for McManaman though..

  3. It's always a tough one. QPR / Reading / Wigan (as good as down) have a few decent players but would you go for them?

    When DOL bought Sorensen & McCann from relegated Sunderland I thought it stunk of mid-table lack of ambition. But there are a few players who I think  could improve a our squad.

    From QPR;

    Loic Remy - Top quality player but wages prob as high as the outgoing (?) Bent & we need to worry least about our strikeforce.

    Christopher Samba - Over-rated & over-priced but we need defence sorting out

    Stephane Mbia / Samba Diakite - more experience in the middle would be good but do we need another defensive midfielder?

    Junior Hoilett - Yes. Failed to impress this year but was good for Blackburn & reckon he'd be good at Villa, prob not too much £££ too.

    From Reading: None - not a fan

    From Wigan:

    James McCarthy - Not a bad CM but a bit mediocre?

    Callum McManaman - YES. Got to get in quick at the right price - being touted for England. A new Milner / Downing replacement.

    None are amazing but we could be stronger with a few of them. What do you reckon?????

  4. To be honest, I reckon life just gets better with age! Can't be living in the past! Can't wait to finish studies and start earning good money.

  5. You're only 20 Chris! If that's true, I shouldn't worry about going back to 16 again. It's only 3-4 years ago! I'm 23.75, don't want to go back to 16 that much!

  6. I can still remember how to score on that. Run towards pen area, then cut it right and shoot, GOAL. I think 34-0 in the world cup final was a little unrealistic

    That's it! I have still got both the Master Sys and Mega Drive, I'm gonna keep them just for nostalgia's sake. Will give them to my kids when I have some! They can learn before forking out on whatever the newest system will be!
