Since i forever have hated Chelsea im loving it tonight, not only did they loose out on the CL final, but they

Agree, i think the money has been there in previous windows too, i think the brakes are on MON's wheels not Randy's.

I voted Moore, but its hard to say... they are very good in different ways IMO. Gabby=pace, but i think Moore is the better footballer. Very open and also depending on injuries etc. If Gabby gets an injury that slows him down he will be average me thinks...

With the squad we have right now I would not expect us to do significly better then last year, other teams have spent the transfer window better then us up to now and I will not set myself up for dissapointment by thinking Europe is likely.

However allot can change between now and the end of the transfer window so i guess a re-evaluation is in order when the window closes.

Me too! The guy is real class and although he scores for fun and does like to attack, he's equally good at breaking people in half in midfield.. Just what we need and would be cheaper the better British options.

Beckham will probably not come to the premiership. He will head over to the USA where they are willing to pay the huge wage that he will want. Only Newcastle will pay his wages in the Premiership.

TBH i would much rather see Milner come to Villa. Give me the future, not the past.

nice way of putting it cyrusr, but why not get both? lerner will see beckham as immediate ROI, and Milner an unfinished artcile that can learn under beckham. It's a no brainer.

I dont see Beckham as the past...rather the present. He can still give teams two-three good years.

I personally dont see Beckham comming to us....I think he will go to Manu or a London club if he returns.

Firstly, i dont think he is good enough, secondly (and most importantly ;-)) I just dont like his smirky horseass face.

If we want an unsettled dressingroom, a German idiot with a god complex is just what we need, if not the we should get someone else then Tim Borowski.

I wouldn't say Apphia is like Mcann. Apphia would contribute allot more offensivly and score a few goals as well.

I would not mind him comming here.

As for the January window I just hope there will not be any panic buying of half decent players. I would rather have them wait untill the summer and get some real class. Hope they only buy in January if there are really good players availeble.

I think allot of people have to high hopes for Baros here. IMO he has played well for country but not for Liverpool. I would like to see him in three-four games for Villa before i pass my judgement and hopefully he will be the massaiah everybody here seem to think he will be.....As for me I'm not so sure....... Head down, running towards goal, ending up getting tackled or sending some shitty shot away are my recent memories of Baros.......

On current form (i know its early) iwould have to say Milan and SuperKev, but if Angel turn it around I think he and any of the other two would be the better option.

However TRL makes a goos point, but is DOL really going to go with that system?? I have my doubts......

I think the signings so far have been pretty good, but none are of the exiting sort......... I seems to be a lack of ambition at the club and everytime a quality player is talked about in the transfer marked DOL seems to be more concerned about putting out any fires that would even suggest that villa would be interested insted off showing some intrest and atleast look into signing them. Even if we would not get them in the end at least that would show that they are trying....... As off now it seems like they are happy with the squad and we can look forward to another midtable finnish.

The PL referees has said that they wont follow this rule, but stick with the old one this season.

I also went for JPA as i think (and really, really hope) he will hit form again this season.........I also think he and Pillips will make a good partnership and stay close in the race for top scorer.

I dont think he's worh £10 millions, even if he could make a great partnership with Angel.........Could probably get to great players for that price and with the size of the squad i would think thats better use of the money (if there is any).
