Watching the game... anyone else think Peter Crouch is a cheat and that its a foul against him 80% of the times he goes for a header? Always has an arm or hand on opposing players shoulders.

Since i forever have hated Chelsea im loving it tonight, not only did they loose out on the CL final, but they did it in the worst way possible... overtime goal, shitty referee etc etc. Now they know how it feels for all PL teams that play them every week, Hurts dont it! To bad i dont have a Chelsea fan friend to pester.

Lower mid 11th - 14th for me. Hope we can do better, but I am a pessemist by nature and like to be pleasently surprised...hopefully that will happen this season if we get some good additions to the squad.

I voted Moore, but its hard to say... they are very good in different ways IMO. Gabby=pace, but i think Moore is the better footballer. Very open and also depending on injuries etc. If Gabby gets an injury that slows him down he will be average me thinks...

With the squad we have right now I would not expect us to do significly better then last year, other teams have spent the transfer window better then us up to now and I will not set myself up for dissapointment by thinking Europe is likely. However allot can change between now and the end of the transfer window so i guess a re-evaluation is in order when the window closes.

:nod: Me too! The guy is real class and although he scores for fun and does like to attack, he's equally good at breaking people in half in midfield.. Just what we need and would be cheaper the better British options. I'll 2nd that...

nice way of putting it cyrusr, but why not get both? lerner will see beckham as immediate ROI, and Milner an unfinished artcile that can learn under beckham. It's a no brainer. I dont see Beckham as the past...rather the present. He can still give teams two-three good years.

I personally dont see Beckham comming to us....I think he will go to Manu or a London club if he returns.

I really hope we DONT get Tim Borowski .... please god! Firstly, i dont think he is good enough, secondly (and most importantly ;-)) I just dont like his smirky horseass face. If we want an unsettled dressingroom, a German idiot with a god complex is just what we need, if not the we should get someone else then Tim Borowski.

I wouldn't say Apphia is like Mcann. Apphia would contribute allot more offensivly and score a few goals as well. I would not mind him comming here. As for the January window I just hope there will not be any panic buying of half decent players. I would rather have them wait untill the summer and get some real class. Hope they only buy in January if there are really good players availeble.

I think allot of people have to high hopes for Baros here. IMO he has played well for country but not for Liverpool. I would like to see him in three-four games for Villa before i pass my judgement and hopefully he will be the massaiah everybody here seem to think he will be.....As for me I'm not so sure....... Head down, running towards goal, ending up getting tackled or sending some shitty shot away are my recent memories of Baros....... Lets hope I'm wrong.
