    I’ve not heard of him?

Exeter are my local side and he's very highly thought of.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern have all been in contact with him even going over to play for Bayerns academy last season.

Last two out of the Academy were Ollie Watkins and Ethan Ampadu so lets hope he progresses the same way!

  2. A night to forget for the young Lions, losing 3-0 to Exeter City.

Exeter played a few of the first team players but Villa never really got going.

Tyreik Wright was one of the few to come away with any credit tonight, looked very lively and anything positive Villa did went through him. Suliman looked ok but came off at half time. Colin Odutayo also looked good in last 20mins when he came on, creating more in that period than the team did in the previous 70 combined.

jamie Searle had a difficult night in goal, made a hash of several clearances and didn't look comfortable with the ball at his feet.

520 in attendance, I would say over a hundred were Villa. Gregg Evans also there and Mark Delaney got a bit of light hearted stick from a few Villa in 2nd half.

  3. I watched Ethan come through the ranks at Exeter City and we've followed his progress closely.

He's mature beyond his years, has a fantastic footballing brain and is a born leader.

He's a fantastic player, can play in several positions and if he gets a run of first team games, will be a great asset be it at Chelsea or Villa.

What did you make of his performance? Was it difficult to shine given the U's overall performance?

Difficult afternoon for him, their other striker and probably best player (who he was linking up nicely with) went off injured quite early which left him  isolated.

He looked a threat each time he got the ball into feet which is what he was asking for constantly but had to keep dropping deeper to do so and spent most of the game chasing long balls.

He showed glimpses of quality, going past players with ease and drew 3 fouls in the space of about 2 minutes at one point.

Went on a good run down the right, cut inside and the Exeter keeper made a decent save to deny him.

Cambridge are a poor side and I just hope they can adapt to play to his strengths instead of relying on long balls up to Azeez who's about 6ft.

I'll preface this by saying I think there's pretty much zero chance of Joe hart coming to Villa.

But I genuinely can't believe there are people actually turning their noses up at him :crylaugh:

Couldn't agree more, Odds on him coming have been slashed today though oddly.
