i'd go with that, except have berger instead of davis. the 2 full-backs are more than capable of getting forward a bit and helping the midfield.....plus that gets rid of samuel. i wouldn't be surprised at all if o'leary tried this 1 out

Bridge on loan could be a possibility but IMO we need a specialist left back who can cover at CB. Phil Neville would have been perfect but not at £3.5million.

yep, we shouldn't be playing laursen unless we have to i reckon (by that i mean as a 3rd choice centre back), as fielding a blatantly unfit centre back in the prem is just no good

malbranque is the creative midfielder we require. the mere fact that we're arguing about what part of midfield he actually plays in shows his versatility. the fact is, he does pretty much cover the centre and right of midfield and has the skill and creativity that we so need and miss. imagine our right half of midfield with him and solano!!!!!

my mate's a geordie and he's gutted that we've got him, he says the man never puts a foot wrong, solid and gives 100% every match....the kind of player every team needs, basically another mccann for our defence, ideal!!!! i've scouted round a few message boards too and every geordie fan feel the same as my mate, gutted that he's leaving......think we got ourselves another bargain!!
