For those knocking Ireland I think our midfield being dominated so far this half might in itself prove a point.

Ireland was forcing there defence to sit deeper and harassing them in position, this also ment holman could do the same in a deeper position for us, we are missing this now.

Still its a long way to go and its about how the players react now. Inzogbia would get a lot of space where holman is playing now.

Ireland and Vlaar our best in this half for me,

Vlaar has been solid at the back, cleared well and confident on ball,

Ireland great work rate, tried a couple of balls in behind, big part in goal and making good runs in behind,

Bannan I also think is doing ok,

Full backs aren't doing enough for me and forwards need to retain possession better...

happy enough with scoreline though.

Looking from more from holman and KEA (although I feel he has come into it a bit), Ireland needs to make a couple more of the through balls stick but is at least trying them

They were messing around with the ball at the back, Ireland robbed it well, had a shot/cross blocked, chased it down in the corner, fell to bannan, he swung a deep one, wast cleared, came back across goal, ireland hit a volley into ground from edge of box and bent tapped it in at back post
