  1. We don't know his duties or the scale of his role at Villa, but one thing we do know is that he is massive improvement on the two clowns that we had running training before - book or no book! I would much rather have a 'part-time' Roy Keane than a full time Karsa/Culverhouse combo.

  2. Nirvana- In Utero

The Stone Roses- The Stone Roses

    Oasis- Heathen Chemistry

    Oasis-Definitely Maybe

    The Libertines- The Libertines

    Ocean Colour Scene- Moseley Shoals

    Arctic Monkeys- Whatever People Say...

    Muse- Origin of Symmetry

    Stereophonics- Performance and Cocktails

    JJ72- JJ72

In no particular order, and definitely not musically the best albums by some of the artists, but ones that remind me of good times and good people.

  3. Abraham has only ever fought outside Germany 5 times in his career and he has lost the last 3 times, so I can see why he and his team would rather stay in Germany.

I like your idea about forcing them off their home turf leemond, but unfortunately it will never happen. A mutual venue is not financially beneficial for either fighter or the promoters, and if you were the champion at the time would you want to risk your belts fighting at a venue where you may not have the majority of the support or the officials on your side? Somebody like Mayweather would get away with it, as his support would follow him to every corner of the planet, but at the next level down you are essentially penalizing the champion. It is the officials that need looking at, not the boxers themselves.

  4. Completely agree with the above, I said at the end that I thought it was 50:50, but that Abraham would shade it by 2/3 rounds as it was on his home soil. I cannot understand how one judge gave it by 10 rounds though?? That guy should take up a new profession....

Unfortunately I don't think Smith will get a rematch either.

  5. Maybe for certain devices such as cameras that you may keep for a period of time, but 'consumables' like phones, tablets etc will all move to wireless charging in the next couple of years. You'll just leave your device on something like a Powermat overnight and it will charge. I agree that USB is a standard that may stay for a while, but will be used more when on the move, rather than at home.

  6. I'll second the Sonos system, amazing!!

Following on from the above, i wouldn't bother with USB either. I work in IT, and USB technology is changing so much in terms of speeds that whatever you get will be out of date in a couple of years. The proposed new standard will even have a different connection type-

The design for the new reversible USB interface - the standardised connection for data transfers between electronic devices - has been finished.

  7. Massive well done Fabian, definitely deserved!

He has shown a lot of character to not only rebuild his career after that cruciate injury in 2010, but to come back and become one of the first names on the Villa team sheet and now hopefully a regular England International.

I still can't believe he is only 24, he seems to have been around forever! Sign him up!

  8. If two teams are level on points, GD, GS, and head-to-head then Premier League rules state that they would have a playoff. I'd guess that they would have some sort of play-off tournament where games have to be decided, via penalty shootout if necessary. (I haven't quite worked out how this would work with 20 teams though.......)

  9.

Valencia have made a bid now according to SSN......

English players never move abroad :)

I wouldn't mind Cleverley at Villa, as he is a definite improvement on what we have, but it would make a refreshing change for a young English player to move abroad and learn a different approach to playing football. It can only improve him as a player, and he will be able to rebuild his reputation out of the limelight of the English press. There is a good player in there somewhere, otherwise he would have left United years ago.

  10. Am I right in thinking that there were only two English players to create more chances for others than Westwood last season

Gerrard was one, can't remember the other

Don't forget, to get assists you need two things to happen, one that is completely out of your control

Yep,  Gerrard and Lallana were the only other English players to create more chances than Westwood last season.

  11. Any news? Not on the bench again, after playing in the week.

I'd presume Baker was on the bench ahead of him, as Baker can cover both CB and LB. (Bacuna for RB). To be fair we needed Baker today when Cissokho got injured.

  12. People who leave skid marks on the either the toilet seat or around the lip of the toilet. We have a repeat offender at work, and it is gross! I have three simple questions for these animals............

    HOW??

    WHY??

DO YOU DO IT IN YOUR OWN TOILET??

Surely it is not difficult to position your arse in such a way that you aim your waste into the pan and not anywhere but. Apologies for the vulgarity but I want to be able to have a poo without sitting in somebody elses.....

  13. Is there a way to reduce the nicotine intake with these e-cigs, to eventually quit all together? Need to get my dad on em

I use the E-Lites with prefilled tips, and they do come in different strengths.I started on the standard (red) ones and then moved down to the light (gold) ones. They don't offer an option with zero nicotine though. I'm pretty sure other manufacturers do, and you can eventually get down to ones with no nicotine at all.

  14. i've been on the e-cigs for about 6 months now, but the battery always seems to go in the most inconvenient of places, so make sure that you always have a backup. I still have 1 or 2 real cigs a week, but they are starting to become less enjoyable and smell and taste is starting to put me off completely. Stick with it, I guarantee you will feel better in no time and I wouldn't really worry about the amount of nicotine you are taking in, just think about the amount of poisons and toxins that you aren't.......
