An interesting punt in this article, you never know...

If it turns out we didn't want OGS and do want RDM or Grayson, the entire board should be shot.
Is that you JG?!

"The Eastern Short side of joy"
Not a euphemism for Alex McLeish's reign as an Aston Villa manager.
-
I love how,
"I am delighted I am at Norwich if that is what you are asking.
"I have never said a word that I want to get away."
means he must be on his way...
-
Struggling to see how with all this circus being played out in front of the media, we're now expected to be able to pop over and offer the job to Lambert, as though he'll be so delighted that he agrees to join us.
I don't think anyone could ever accuse RL of being unfair, disloyal or unprofessional, but he's certainly coming out of all this looking naive and out of his depth. Whether it was all just conjecture or not regarding OGS, the people in charge should never have allowed for the club to be belittled in such a way, especially after last year.
I think if we've missed out on our first choice, we'll be looking at 3rd or 4th.
Though I hope not.

So Tim, I know you may not give away your sources, but how did you find out before everyone else? And are you 100% sure because nothing official has come from Villa, Molde or OGS yet?
Confirmed by a source in Norway and I knew the game was up when it was stood up by someone at Villa. As a rule, football clubs don't tend to like to put official lines out about this kind of thing. Molde may well do something but it will be along the lines of OGS putting everything in the past etc.
MOTHER ****. We TURNED HIM DOWN? IS FAULKNER **** THICK? He's got 90 percent of the fanbase crying out for this appointment and we didn't bother? I don't buy it. Just don't buy it one **** inch. Like last year, either Lerner is the professor of cunnilingus or the greatest c_nt we've known. How to alienate your fanbase, AGAIN.
Yes, I'm over reacting. I await the real stories to come out. I **** hate this shit, year after year after year. (OK, minus 2007-2010)

Anyone got any vaguely inspiring youtube links for Simon Grayson?
Yup
Jesus. The man barely speaks English.

The thing is, even though we could argue that Villa have made no statements regarding us going after Solskjaer and that it's not their fault that all this has got out of hand, it's another PR disaster. The thing should have been way better covered up, again the fear is we'll miss out on other decent candidates because of this farce and be forced to settle for someone way down the list.
This is all just conjecture but you have to say if it's confirmed, it stinks of incompetence of the highest order. I mean we should all keep the faith but after last season's appointment, you do worry.
-
This reason is bullshit.
I think either Villa got approval from no.1 target and we said thanks but no thanks Ole and hes covering it up.
Or hes knocked us back because hes gotten a massive pay rise (most likely).
If we hire a manager in the next day or two.. it is option 1.
Option 2 if it drags out.
This.

We don't think Randy reckons Grayson is a Villa legend do we? And he's going to appoint him for the fans?
-
Randy flies back in on the day Lambert says farewell against Celtic. Coincidence? Can't help thinking as a Villa fan that we won't get what we want. Moyes last year, jeez, even feels like when Les Ferdinand was going to come then joined Newcastle! That said we could do a lot worse than Lambert as a manager...
General Next Manager Topic?? (everything other than Lambert)

I never understand this feeling that somehow trying to hold onto the bleeding ball for more than five and a half seconds somehow equates to "tippy-tappy" football.
Anyone present at the Swansea home game last season knows that the Swansea way is leaps and bounds above our variation of hoofball.
