They even had a famous chat which rhymes in polish (so sounded cool and was catchy) "Donald you idiot, your government will be brought down by ultras"

*Donald matole twój rząd obalą kibole

Try pronouncing that for a linguistic challenge.

yep, I also need to add that Police detained some fans because of the rhyme, they were also later sentenced to a fine by court.

btw the part about Alkmaar incident starts at about 18:00. There are english subtitles.

Yeah, that was the story. Turned out not to be true, the keeper got into some sort of a fight and journos jumped on the Wisła fans.

As I said, polish football is backwards.

yeah, the incident wasn't related with football. Polish fans have bad reputation and the keeper also accused Wisła fans (he was the instigator of the fight and tried to blame others to protect himself).

As for Legia fans... as someone said earlier, use common  sense and everything should be ok :) We are not Balkan nation ;)

I’ve long stopped listening to fans on here. Most of them don’t know their arse from their elbows when it comes to football.

Just to clarify, by saying "here" I've meant Polish fans and Polish journos.

Was there a high kick that should have been a second yellow? I swear I didn't dream it.

Yes there was, it could be a second yellow also, but it wasn't so serious. Far worse was an elbow hit during a jump, it could be straight red (although very soft one), but was 100% second yellow... We were very, very, very lucky - it was in 20th minute of the game and only a couple minutes after Matty's first booking.

Been one of the best full backs at the tournament so far imo. Done bits going forward and looked solid defensively!

well, I and a lot of people here think that he is definietely underperforming. Today he was crucial for setting the goal, but other than that he was very nervous and he should be send off for a second yellow 😕

Really looking forward to watching Cash and Poland, more so than watching England (are Villa fans unique in this feeling? - might take this Q to the world cup thread) .

Our form is really poor. It's hard to watch :)

  8. Propably the best known Polish graphic designer who specializes in creating and redesigning sport logos said about the options that in the first one the shield didn't match to the lion. I asked him about this, he replied that the lion paws didn't have even distances to the shield's edges. Also that the lion had a lot of details while the shield was simple. He understood the graphic dillemas, because he had created a similar crest (see it here), but he had tried to arrange elements on the crest more precisely. Nevertheless he would choose that option, because the round crest was just to similar to other crests in PL.

Poland have got trashed when he came off the bench tonight. Not sure if he was at fault for any of the goals but doesnt look good

It wasn't his fault. He played as a winger and he got a left back playing behind him. He was mostly anonymous but had one good run and one good chance to score (his shot went above the crossbar).

If you boo the knee for me then your a racist.

If you keep bringing up marxism or the BLM movement as an excuse then you are an idiot as this connection has been removed for months

the point has been proven there...they reference the movement. no mention of the organisation BLM. they are 2 different things.

They’re not taking the knee in support of Black Lives Matter though.

    No?
"Fans were asked: In some countries, professional football players and staff have chosen to kneel at the beginning of each game to show their support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Would you support or oppose professional players and staff in your country kneeling before each game in this fashion?"
