  1. Can't blame the lads today loads of youth vs a very expensive and experienced side. We gave it a good go. Relegation is now more than a genuine possibility. Other teams are picking up points and we've lost Petrov and Bent. Our defence looks dire. Up front we aren't upto much either. We need N'zogbia back ASAP and Gabby to stop being so shit. We're currently 15/1 on betfair to be relegated. Given our circumstances, they are very generous odds.

  2. Get well soon Stan. Top bloke. Thankfully these days the prognosis for Leukaemia has improved greatly so I'm hoping he will be fine with the right treatment.

I propose clapping and chanting for Stan on the 19th minute of the match tomorrow to show our support.

  3. I didnt even watch the game this morning...

Its so easy to type that aswell...Weird. Villa is pretty much my whole life and yet the man who manages us has completely sucked the life out of the club, the players and the fans. Its difficult to fully comprehend how much affect one man can have on the club. He's also being paid millions to do this.

Its bewildering. Every man and his dog knew villa would be in this situation if Mcleish was hired. Have you ever seen 1000 fans turn up and chant on the steps of the ground against the appointment of a manager? To deface club property before a man is even hired?

And yet...they still go and hire him?

Is this some sort of joke?

Is my worst nightmare being played out in front of my very eyes?

Aston Villa is being destroyed by this man. The man above him. And the man above him.

    Its a ****' farce.

I agree it almost defies belief that it happened in the first place, hence lots of people losing money in the summer when he was appointed. A Liverpool fan once told me anything is possible with American owners, that has proven to be true.

  4. Was always going to be shite today with that line-up.

Heskey - I mean WTF I thought we had seen the back of him?

Alrighton and Gabby - Mcleish is afraid to drop these because they're local lads, they've been rubbish for a while now.

Add to the mix Phil Dowd and you'll see why Arsenal were the bankers of the weekend.

Walcott has bossed us, this says it all.

The 2nd half I'll just enjoy watching Arsenal play and hope RVP scores for my FF team.

  5. Swansea playing some sexy stuff on MOTD at the moment. This could and should have been us. I'd still want us to go for Brendan Rodgers if we could get him. Those banging on about the cost - I can't imagine their team cost much at all. To play that way you only need to be able to pass the ball 10 yards and keep calm. It's a model we should have been replicating seasons ago (and was under Houllier tbf). Instead we are stuck with a deluded dinosaur who thinks we play like Holland

  6. Tut tut Sky - a disgraceful organisation.

Hope he's ok. I was watching the match I can't imagine to think what his family/friends were going through if they were watching it. I've never heard a football ground go so quiet before

  7. Ultimately thats the difference in class/taste and tact between the Beeb and the lowlife at NewsCorp Int.

Exactly. BBC are simply running with the statement on the BWFC website. Whereas Sky Journo's are probably harassing every man and their dog at the hospital.

  8. I hear the Brigada lot have taken a lot of P8 and will be there next season with a big drum et all

Sorry, this was a joke! In a response to people booking up P8 on the cheap. I'd like to reiterate what the leaders of Brigada have said they will not be sitting there next season and where they will be sitting will be announced at Monday lunchtime. I would hate to think I've misled any potential Brigada members into booking seats in the wrong block as I really support what they are trying to do and the more people who join them the better!!

All those wanting a better match experience and want to get VP rocking again please hold your renewals until Monday lunchtime and help fill the Brigada block when it's announced :)

  9. Brendan Rodgers has a different take on football compared to the usual one season wonder managers mentioned on here (Coyle, Lambert) that's why I am touting him. You should maybe educate yourselves and listen to his interviews on how he works. It's refreshingly different from your usual clog and hope B/S we here from Mcleish, Moyes and all the other dour Glaswegian managers in the league.
