  1. I'm actually dreading turning up tomorrow. I almost know for a fact we won't turn up and when we have our bright moments we'll get caught out. Sad I know as I'm usually positive about the Villa but to be deadly honest a point is looking out of our grasp (though not impossible!).

    First thing's first. Considering we're meant to be defensively sound can we please learn how to defend corners. None of that easy bull-crap again, every set piece we look fragile.

    Secondly, can we please set out to attack when we're at home, it gets boring watching us hoof it (Collins, quit panicing man!) only to have to clear it again, Arsenal are good movers on and off the ball so can we not try and play them at their own game. Even if we lose at least we can say we tried. Hell we won at their place 2-1 last year and we were hopeless then, so it's more than do-able.

    Lastly let's find our voice and get singing loud and early to boost the lads no matter how crap we are, I want to lose my voice again come Wednesday night.

    UTV

  2. Strikers go through crap patches and don't score, Bent will come good no doubt about it I mean Rooney goes aaages without scoring and then boom a goal and he's world class again :D

    Whether he leaves us remains to be seen but I still wouldn't be surprised if he actually did (not that I can think of a reason).

  3. Nice to get 3 points, you can only beat what is put out infront of you. Petrov is playing really well this season, looks like he's enjoying his football and on another day we might have had 3 or 4.

    We're hardly brilliant atm but it's 3 points and a win that can boost morale, now for the real tests.

  4. * Mocking Americans in a hotel lobby on 9/11

    * **** his best friend's wife

    * Selling his World Cup ticket allocation

    * Racially abusing Anton Ferdinand

    * His haircut

    All terrible offenses.

    What else have I missed?

    :lol:

  5. Considering it was meant to be boring I got my entertainments worth today. A fair bit of attacking and to be honest if we finshed more of our chances it might have been 5 or so. We played some really good football (Zoggy and Heskey springs to mind) and when we were on the ball we looked for the most part composed (apart from the last 15). Imo 3-2 over the whole 90 minutes flatters them a bit too much, not to say they didn't hold their own.

    Our issue is whenever we're under attack I feel as though we're going to concede. The pressure we allowed in the last 15 minutes was unacceptable. However whenever we attacked I felt as though we'd score too so it's nice to be able to say that this week.

    Jenas looked really sharp and the balls he was playing through were brilliant, unlike Ireland who looked half arsed yet again. I give up on him now, he is just not cutting it. Not even trying. Spurs next...ahem, glad we won today.

    UTV!

  6. You see - thats the whole thing in a nutshell

    "we should be better - its Albion " - you've just summed it up in one.

    Chelsea - SHOULD be beating QPR now, I mean, its only QPR, the team crap Villa were 4 seconds away from beating.

    People just want to bash the club, the players, the manager, anything,

    Rather than seeing that maybe, football is changing, its not about spending 100m to get instant success, well, I suppose you could like Liverpool, and get 2 places in the league above "crap" Villa

    Give the manager time for god sake.

    You seem like a right tit tbh. If you read my post before and the bit at the end of that post you replied to you'd see I have nothing but respect for Mcleish and I'm giving him more than enough time. I'm simply giving my 'crtitique' in the right thread.

    Get off you high horse when I'm basically behind Mcleish, I just want him to think more on an attacking wave length at times. And as for Albion...that's not ambitious it's simple expectations.

  7. Clark is so much better technically, Collins only has brute force over him imo so that's a bit disappointing.

    Mcleish has another down side imo that I didn't mention in my above post and that's his 4-5-1. At home the very least we should be doing is playing an attacking brand and trying to get on the front foot.

    Before the sending off we had something like 60-40 possession and were 1 up cruising for a 2/3-1 victory. We were very much on the front foot. The only game at home that we weren't was against Newcastle.

    I completely agree with us being better at the start of Albion but we should be anyway....it's Albion and after the sending off it was like we all stood on the goal line with the occasional break. I'm not against him anyway, like I said earlier he's got my backing for now.
