NewportStu, I'm from Newport too. All my mates are asking me home or away end?? I've been to Wembley twice to see county and twice to see Villa. My allegiance is definitely with Villa though.

When do tickets for friendlies go on sale guys? Nothing on the web
-
2 solid no nonsense defenders (CB and LB) and we'll be mid table.
-
Newcastle, West Ham, Stoke, and Fulham would all take Bent. Turkey, and Russia an option too
-
I'd take Reo Coker right now however an easier choice would be bringing back Makoun, Warnock, Hutton, because none of that back four against Bradford can expect to play after hat performance.
-
Not sure if anyone has uploaded this before, http://tinyurl.com/asmcffd it is supposedly all of the out of contract players at the end of the season.
The players I wouldn't mind taking are; Frimpong, Chris Brunt and Hangeland
As VERB27 says if these players can talk to clubs now then why aren't we talking to them. Obviously not the high wage earners but players like:
Turnbull as back up to Guzan
Hangeland
Danny Simpson
Gera
Brunt
Frimpong
Figueroa
Di Santo
All would definitely improve our squad.

We need to win 5 homes games at least. Then a few away draws.
Winnable home games IMO:
Southampton
Newcastle
West Ham
QPR
Fulham
Snderland

I'd rather have Stephens in my CM than Bannan, Herd, Delph or El Ahmadi

I was at the game yesterday and can honestly say that the young defence was dreadful for 30 mins, then, because they realised they weren't 3-0 down for example they got some shape back into them. Clark was captain yesterday but was ripped to pieces by Routledge and Michu, he lacks the experience to be captain and it showed yesterday.
I have no doubt Clark will be decent in the future but all of them were all over the place for most of the game to be honest.
2nd half we were much better, held shape at the back, got tighter, less mistakes and didn't play as many stupid balls. Don't get me wrong it was still pretty poor but a massive improvement from the 1st half.
There were people calling for Lamberts head after 15 mins yesterday which is just mental. What other side can he pick that would do better??
He is desperately short of players, my only criticism is why he hasn't brought back loans to the club no matter how bad they are, I guess that because it would lower confidence of those playing.

Albrighton handing in a transfer request makes me laugh. He will have to drop down to the championship to get regular football I hope he realises that. Another Luke Chadwick for me
-
PL must have seen the Villa job as a project or challenge, do you think he may have underestimated the task?
-
Although I have confidence in Lamberts abilities and am sure he will do I good job I seriously fear for this season.
The man doesn't have enough quality and Saturday showed that. We had nothing to offer and with Clark baker bannan herd etc it's too early for them. They've been thrown in instead of slowly introduced but that's because we don't have anyone else.
You look at our squad and they're all low earning youths with 3 or 4 experience players. Against Everton we seriously missed Dunne, Petrov and Gabby purely for the experience. 1-0 down after 3 minutes wouldn't have ended up 3-0 half time with experience on that pitch.
The Swansea defeat last season was probably one of the worst games I've seen villa play but Saturday's first half was up there.
I couldnt help thinking Lambert will have gone away and looked at what's out there cheap, possibly free and experienced.

according to Talk Sport!!!
Yes but that's about as reliable as a chocolate teapot!
Or a chocolate fireman.
I dont disagree. OGS is 1/5 now for Villa job. Was 9/4 last night.
-
TalkSport said OGS has quit his job at Molde and will be next Villa manager
according to Talk Sport!!!

I was at VP yesterday and the guy i was talking to called Keith has worked at Villa for 25 years. He kept referancing Norweigans and Ole so when i had a chance i asked him if he knew anything. He said he is of the understanding its pretty much a done deal however Lambert will be interviewed this week aswell.
I think the spoke to OGS and were impressed with him but want to interview Lambert to be sure.

We want someone young and hungry.....i believe we have already contacted Norwich
-
I wonder how much this crap Macron will cost us
-
Off to Leicester as I've been saying for quite a while.
I have heard this from quite a few people
-
Capacity still 42k or so.
Still means we're about 9k down on fans from capacity and 3.5k worse than last season.
3500 x average £30 ticket is losing £105k a home game
-
We dont have £10m to spend on Cisse anymore so you can forget about that.
He should go. End of
-
I said to my mate yesterday in the ground that if Heskey scores he's celebrate like he won the world cup........You're right though he was brilliant for 45 mins yesterday
-
West Brom -
24,712 average in 2011/12
24,682 average in 2010/12
Premier League
35,638 in 11/12
35,283 in 10/11
So its definately a Villa problem
-
I'd also go for Martinez
-
i do agree with that but with 7 defenders on the pitch yesterday NZO was lost. Messi would be lost on that pitch yesterday
