60 mins on the button...who would've guessed?! C'mon the Beast.
-
Richardson...how???
-
We are constantly getting raped down the right flank, Zog offers no cover and doesn't do enough in an attacking sense to be in the starting 11. Get him off and get Benteke on. It looks like it's only a matter of time before City score, we are looking short at the back a lot.
Surely Lambert will take action?? It's too noticeable an issue to go without change. So weak down there, Kolarov is getting far too much space and time on the ball.
-
Half-time will kill the momentum City had... Fresh start, Benteke on in 15-20 mins, continue defending for our lives, and a result could be possible.
-
Baker <3
-
Weimann playing as a lone striker which he rarely does..not suprised that he seems a bit lost at times..but wouldn't change anything yet
-
Big loss I think, they'll react to last night by ripping us a new one.
Then we'll have a great season anyway.
Man City aren't much of a team to react to a loss...poor team spirit and lazy attitude amongst a lot of their players.

I'm scared

Funny how our virus infected team wasn't used as an excuse for not winning when it was 0-0 and yet now we are losing 3-0
No, the excuse when we weren't winning at 0-0 was probably, we're playing **** Arsenal, you know, one of the best teams in the league.
Also, Lambert said before the game that some players were affected but declared themselves fit.
Also no excuse was needed when it was 0-0. There was no clear difference between the two sides until the goals.

Senderos very lucky not to get a yellow there

Really don't understand the huge change in class of our defence this week... Senderos just hasn't had the impact he had in the last 4 games
Begins with c and ends with k
very true

Lambert never give Danish players a chance, does he?Hmm, Clark... He's not as good as baker. I'm slightly less optimistic now. Hope Clark has a stormer, does make me wonder why Okore isn't making the starting lineup though.
You think it's because he's Danish? Lambert did buy him though. You have to think why he did buy him then, if Baker and Clark is prefered over him
Okore is a 22 year old who last played a PL game a year ago. It wouldn't be wise having him start against Arsenal for his comeback, even if that does mean starting Clark.

Sanchez out.
Ox in.
That's huge for us.
Still see Ox as a worrying threat, but he's nowhere near that of Sanchez! UTV!
-
Can't complain, hopefully Clark can step up as there is huge pressure on him to perform with the current battle for positions.
Baker must be injured?? Has anyone any idea??

Didn't see Arsenal midweek but their defense was very poor against City. In particular for Demichelis' goal from the corner. We know their attacking threat but I have faith in our defense. 2-1 with Welbeck hassling us big time.

It may be a bit early in the season to offer Lambert this contract but he has definitely improved the club and repaired the damage to our style of football that McLeish caused.
It was clear in his first season he had changed the style of football from the negative 'football' of McLeish, but didn't have the squad to avoid the relegation battle.
In his second season the first team was looking stronger and we were given glimmers of hope, but a few injuries revealed how thin our squad was and we were dragged in to relegation contention. BUT there was a definite improvement to the game we played.
Now in his third season we have squad depth thanks to PL's smart moves in the transfer market, we are playing well (long may it continue, fingers crossed), and we are in a great position to build for the future.
I can see why he has been offered the new contract as there has been definite improvement under Lambert's reign. I just hope it isn't too early in the season to be offering a three year contract to a manager who had us close to relegation the last two seasons. Like most I am hopeful of whats ahead for the club, let's just hope this plan for the future is effective and successful.

If Colback can get a call up to the england side then Westwood can
2 different types of players, can't compare them. Westwood compare against the likes of Henderson and Wilshere. Westwood is not better than any of those players in current time. Might be in the future, but not now.
Agreed.
He need's more PL experience but definitely has the potential to be an English star in the future. Fair play to him though he has really stepped up to the quality required in the PL. Roy Keane (and maybe even Cleverley) could be a great influence to further develop him as a player.

You'd think they'd be more wary given that we beat them 2 seasons ago and should have beaten them last season if it wasn't for their cannibal up front.
Fixed again?
Is Vlaar out for the Liverpool game or not? I hope that Okore replaces him if concrete Ron is injured.
Hope to God Concrete Ron will be fit..his fitness will dictate whether we have a chance or not tomorrow.
Much and all as I love Okore he has only been eased into playing since recovering from a very serious injury & operation, and I don't feel he's up to Premier League standard yet...especially against Liverpool. Currently having bleak thoughts of Baker starting....someone save me from this dark place and confirm that Vlaar will be playing.

We are being completely under-estimated by the pundits & bookies (backed us at 14.5 on Betfair)..
I feel we have the potential to cause an upset. Liverpool away is the type of game where Gabby can come through with one of his rare star performances. Weimann will have no fear after his outstanding performance in Anfield last year. If the back 4 can keep up their current form we are definitely in with a shout and wouldn't be surprised if we come home with at least a draw.

My excitement for the return of Okore has been dampened with the unexpected top form of Senderos...but i guess that's a good thing?! Was very impressed by his work rate pre-injury and can not wait for him to come back in the coming weeks and add to our ever deepening squad.
-
Cleverly would be a solid addition to the squad who could offer stability in our midfield...Westwood showed promise when he began at Villa but he still lacks what it takes to be a Premier League midfielder (which can only be expected considering he came from Crewe).
With the amount of time Cleverly has been part of the United set-up he offers a lot of experience considering his obvious lack of first team football for MU. I think he could be a great signing and would help fill the lack of experience in the squad.

The only positive I took out of this was that it's an obvious motivation to make one or two signings of attacking players.......then I realised it's Lerner we're talking about.
Had hopes this could be Bent's chance to push for a first team place....but now that's not looking likely.
-
We need both Weimeann and Gabby to be in the starting XI.. they can feed Benteke with the supply he needs. Could see a hammering if the three can click...it's been a while since we've seen them all perform together to their potential though
