I do think he lakes a techincal quality in the sense he seems to bottle on the final pass or a simple forward ball in the attacking quater; it could be a matter of sharpness but this lad is either going to be a 'oh i remember him sort of' player or a fan favourite imo

"About to run into the post, yolo!"

Feel like i could fight a rottweller after such an assertive win.

All this harsh judgement of bannan (and most youngsters) is very odd, you expect it from fifa warrior teenagers and disillusional grumpy gits that miss their weekly moan in the uppergrounds.
-
I believe that we have to play gabby and holman to force mistakes and work hard for the team; especially with a forward line of bent and benteke.
Can't really see us keeping zog for much longer when albrighton is fit either, what midfield would work tactically with a DB and benteke forward line?

FFS I Just want the club to show some **** AMBITION and BALLS in the transfer market. Lerner has the money to sign some players he just made a billion dollars, no? I know most would disagree but I think Berbatov still has it and I don't see why we weren't after him. He's the kind of experienced player we should be after. Even Owen FFS. Kranjcar is available no? VdV? QPR get Granero, who the **** do we get?? What about Charlie Adam or even trying for Milner again? It just pisses me off that we're not after some real pedigree and PL experience.
Say your running a company for x ammount of years, i am a bank; you owe me quite a bit of money, ive given your company many chances to improve revenue by granting additional funds, yet i see improvements on my end when expenditure is reduced...
Why would i front you extreme finances yet again when im seeing no return on my cash?
Owners dont give clubs money, like the bank doesnt give you a mortgage without a return.
Now just ease up and dont worry about who's being looked at and what is happening behind closed doors, the lambert era isnt over till skysports sings .
Dont take me wrongly too! I can empathise with your fustration, but we have to progress from here and do the 5year plan like a functional business this time around; maybe then when football devours itself in consumerism and expenditure we will still remain The Villa one of englands most prestigous clubs.

the media do not conjure links and articles without a source or a thread of speculation to expand on
The force is not so strong in this one. That is signature worthy...
OK, given my obvious skepticism to any story printed in the papers, ESPECIALLY the Mirror, I may allow one transfer rumour to stand. After all, the Heil broke the Bowery story yesterday. As it's the mirror though - no chance ever. Rubbish journalism from a rubbish paper.
The force may not be strong, but my academical achievements and work around news / journalism professionals is...

It'll be a very interesting few days to say the least, the media do not conjure links and articles without a source or a thread of speculation to expand on; theres probably interest lets just see what happens.
-
This thread reads exactly like the Fabian Delph thread when we signed him. I'll just wait and see.
Good news for me then! Delphs a talent and a vocal passionate player, can only want more young ones in like him (minus injuries and played our of position.)

The day the steward that looks like mourinho in the lower holte below k block didnt turn up....
luckily it was a special one off
-
I put a bet on for us to beat everton 6-0 after reading this thread... Im not even joking
-
Wait till the last day of the window then take adebayor on loan cus city will want rid and we'll pay 50k of his wages
Surely spurs would snap their hands off for that deal.
The newspapers are saying theres 6mill deal going through... It's a bargain
-
i find it worrying that PL thinks Delph is a DM...
his tackling isn't even that good let alone his distribution to start off attacks...
he is a winger all day long and not a great one at that...
Herd should be in there
??
Delph is not a winger.
tell that to leeds fans
I gladly would, i watched quite a lot of their games...

Lowton --Vlaar--Clark--Lichaj

If this team defends, passes and moves as a unit it would he very very dangerous.

****'s sake, I made the wrong suggestion. I will register a number of email addresses immediately and spam calls for Scatman (Ski Ba Bop Ba Dop Bop).
I'm doing the same, except for:
Has anyone suggested the imperial march?

If the position of those four managers was given to you, you would first of all not play an 18 year old when your pushing for potential champions league.
Further down the line you dont play a 19/20 year old when your struggling in a relegation battle and need goals.
Hes only 21, not a lot of people become a professional before the age of 21 in any field especially without consistent experience.
Untill he gets a good run we cant judge and conjure excuses, but this is a potential oppertunity for him now as were not seeing too much of weimann.
-
Talk about his attitude and laziness but the one thing in his favour for me is the runs I've seen him make in the penalty box that only goalscorers like Bent can instinctively do, and you only see their worth when they have a long run in the team. If we sold him I'm pretty sure another club would turn him into a decent goalscorer, despite the ordinary loan spells he's had.
I agree with this but weimann also has the foresight of good positioning in the box along with his other assets, the only way i can see fonz getting a shout is when we need goals away from home and a player to feed off irelands vision and bannan spraying the ball outwide into space.
-
I can see us using an array of formations but never rigid going forward, i dont think you can ever negate the space outwide either as it will always spread out a backline and create space through the middle; meaning i can't see us with our decent wide outlets and potential killer balls ever sticking to one compact style / formation, its too soon to set this stuff in stone.
-
I'm assuming you've met him?
Yet im also going to guess you wouldnt say anything like that even in moderation to his face as hes a focused and alright guy...
-
In fairness when hes appeared hes looked like taking players on and not shying from shots, hes not had a consistent run of games and you can not judge a player on 10minute appearances.
Attitude is hard to judge when you only see the person in question from a distance and for a short period of time; there has always been rumoured attitude problems surrounding players yet it seems like a modern scapegoat made by fans as an excuse for lack of ability or simply not being suited to a required role. ie delph, bannan and delfouneso.
I've grew up around the area and played with nathan a few times and a fair bit with his brother, hes always hungry to play and that simply doesnt leave a person; the only reason it would is if your patience is tested and your not given a true consistent oppertunity or chance.
Though they are two different types of forwards delfouneso will always find and get to the space weimann can't, if played slightly off bent and wide delfouneso offers more direct potential in behind the defence, weimann looks to bring others into space and is a presence in the box and hassling the ball and with our ever seemingly light weight midfields is what we need at the moment and will always leave fonz out of favour untill he grasps that second wind and brings something else to the plate aside from goals, i dont think any of us doubt his ability or attitude as a goal scorer and its still too early to critise and ship off someone like fonz at this stage in the club and players development, i still believe he will adapt and make a name for himself in the prem (whether or not its with aston villa.)

Kids need to stop playing fm and fifa.... Pace isn't everything...
-
ive not been impressed by what ive seen of gardner and carruthers if im honest
-
Clark does love to get forward doesn't he? He's scored a lot of goals for a CB in a relatively small amount of appearances for us. I think he could make a useful midfielder, he's a bit skinny to be a CB.
Theres plenty of very effective centre halves that are lean and very effictive, its also just the illusion as you see their forearms too i would suppose as we all have this modern association with big biceps and body strength

Couldn't of asked for a better start, 2goals, 1assist and a header ruled offside.
Best of luck to him and hope to see him back in a villa shirt doing the same.
