    The man is deluded, clearly deluded. If he isn't gone tonight I will be livi. A remarkable job I believe the General called it, yep that about covers what he has achieved since he arrived.

    We never chanted for Billy McNeil, Dr Jo, or GT MkII, and that's where I rank you in the Villa Manager Hall of Fame.

    To be fair to these comments by GH. Right up until Heskey getting sent off people WERE chanting Houllier's name and chanting 'Houlliers Claret Army'. Heskey gets sent off, beardsley gets a goal and within 5 minutes the same fans were chanting 'Sacked in the Morning'.

    It was understandable of him to think if we won the game the Houlliers Claret Army chants would have continued. and the 'Another poor performance we look shit' would have been replaced with 'If we can turn a result out with a bad performance we can get results and get out of trouble with some belief'.

    Having said that Albie and Fonz at 75mins down by LowerTrinity/Holte looked miffed, concerned and worried - Stopped looking to the bench for a sign from GH to the point a Chinese Whisper across the fans from the bench to Albrighton let him know he was finally going on at 88 minutes.

    I hope its a bollocking from Chelsea, so as it puts Houlliers job under more pressure.

    Well aren't you a great fan. We should expect to battle but probably lose this match really anyway (if we're honest) another display like Citeh and he'll be under pressure but I think people need to realise that as soon as Houllier gets the sack we aren't instantly going to get confidence back and be organised in defence, Ireland and Carew aren't suddenly going to care and Dunne isn't suddenly going to forget where the pies are at halftime.

    We need to pick our form up and it starts now. New Year New Players New Form

    If he's still injured i say we just play three at the back :P (tbf Lichaj isnt ready for a Chelsea team with a win on their backs trying to get the title and Warnock just isnt fit to wear the shirt lately)

    MM has said about 10 players make up the main gang of people who are contributing to it - up from 6

    Sidwell, Beye, Ireland, Davies, NRC, Carew, Dunne, Warnock, Friedel, Collins, Osbourne, Salifou ? I dont want Petrov to leave just yet so I hope he isnt one of the 10. But I can only see it being some mixture of those players above. Every single one is replaceable and even if Houllier was the greatest manager to walk the earth these are still players that at the end of this season or the end of next would be either

    a) Not Good Enough - Salifou, Osbourne, Sidwell, Beye, Davies

    B) Too Old and hanging up their boots - Friedel

    c) Not Hard Working Enough (Lack Passion) - Warnock, Dunne, Carew, Ireland (never wanted to come in the first place)

    d) leaving for a final pay day else where - Carew, NRC,

    The only thing is they are doing this now when the younger players look up to them and they are our only options on the pitch. Get Rid and Replace.
