Went to the villa village at VP today. The new polo shirts are top class and fit great. The arms are fitted too. Got the white one with blue across front and light blue with black across front.

Well, the Nike medium shirts always fitted me perfectly. Would you recommend getting a small with this shirt or stick with the medium?

i am usually L, but got a medium and fits same as last seasons nike large.

i think i will all depend on how much you love the cake.

if you are a slim jim, then either large or medium should do if 5'11 onwards in height.

if you just cant say no and 5'9 -5'11... then its xl onwards, I'd say

In the preview images here the shirt is clearly slim-fitting... The shirts the players were wearing in those videos were NOT the same shape as the ones being advertised here. You can even see that DB's shirt in the image on the left isn't the same shape as the ones being sold.

Is the replica a different shape to the players' kit or are the players just wearing bigger sizes than they should be?

I can confirm that while not as tight fitting as the Napoli shirts, they are NOT baggy and loose or too large. Get the right size! The best advice I can give is to try one on or look at Gabby in the shirt for the best idea of how it hangs/fits.

fair to say if you get your usual size it wont be too small.

I really love the shirt and have just bought it, but does anyone else think that the claret is ever so slightly off? Was looking at it compared to some of the older shirts and it definitely looks a little paler.

I'm just nitpicking now tbh.

Edit: the blue is definitely a lighter shade too. I, shamefully, usually wear a long sleeve Nike pro shirt under the Villa shirt when I play football...it matched the sleeves of last seasons kit perfectly, but it doesn't match the blue of this seasons shirt.

I think the claret is spot on. Nike just kept on going darker and darker each year... it was described as "team red" ffs.

Like the lighter blue, back to the old days!

Usually get a large, but got a medium in this. Sizes at first glance are confusing as states eu size large first, then below states uk medium.

Most people were missing this like myself, so I tried on the medium and it fit nicely.

I can imagine a large would have swamped me and I am 6,3 and med/stocky build.

Basically, the medium shirt fits like a Nike large. Unless you like a very loose fit and baggy sleeves

Investment maybe but very doubtful.

We'll build steadily over next 5 years with a clear philosophy and after this short burst to energise our squad hopefully just invest sensibly over next few years.

Either that or we'll blow all our money this summer and be shit in 3 seasons time again.
