  1. excellent, any more reveals on the horizon?

and any decision made on whether the set pieces will be available online? rutter was saying it didnt look like it coz he was afraid of exploits, but said there was a bit QA team working it

even being able to share them for use in single player would be a super addition

The next set of reveals should be at Gamescon in Cologne on August 19th. Rutter also likes to keep the community up to date via his Twitter account.

As for the Practice mode and allowing it online I can see this as a huge exploit if allowed online however that's for Rutter and the other producers to decide. I personally would like to see it available for offline only and give it a go next year online.

  2. What I can say is there has been a lot of work done in all areas of the game since Rutter's producer tour in June. Also as mentioned the leaked footage was of gameplay 60 to 65% complete. Our gameplay team is putting in long hours to hammer out these last couple of issues which will make FIFA 10 the best ever and give you that 'Jump out of the seat moment' that makes the game great.

  3. Look for official gameplay footage at Gamescon in Cologone during August 19th to 23rd. Participated in capturing some of gameplay footage for our video guys and it looks sweet!!!

  4. lol no, they wont be finished developing it for a few months

i was playing it at the ea offices

So you must have been on the team which got whipped by Rutter and Co. on the EA Pitch during Community Week :)

The FIFA NG team including myself are hard at work get this edition of the FIFA series ready for release in October. Also to note the clock counting down on the website is when you'll get your first official gameplay look at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

hahah nah i wasnt over for that, just the day in the offices for a play and to interview rutter. nice guy, hadnt met him before

the game's coming along very nicely i have to say! cant wait to have another shot at it in a few months to see how the rest is coming together

im thoroughly enjoying tormenting my mates with lots of "i know something you dont know" in relation to the game, but then im a cruel bastard

Mr. Rutter is quite the personality and pefect producer to represent the face of the FIFA series.

The game is coming along good at this stage of the project and the software engineers are putting in long hours to get this game out the door. As for the mentality of "I know something you don't know, I've had to deal with that since I started at EA on FIFA 08.

As for the FIFA 10 cover I pretty sure that's not it.

  6. FIFA 08 is shaping up to blow away Pro Evo this year. The increase in teams and players along with revamped gameplay makes this game a must own for footy fans. EA knows games in the past have lacked and are looking to correct it this year.
