Hmmm…I seen the biggest improvement when young came on for Cash, which is a worry

Has this started yet, if so how far are we in?

For a young lad, with very few minutes under his belt, he and his agent just sound like trouble.
we’ve worked hard on our youth system and I wouldn’t sacrifice that for anything. If he doesn’t want to sign, I’d be shipping him out.

Doesn’t Coutinho live in Lozells?

It's has more or less the same attractions and downsides as other cities. One thing that is going for it is the lack of media in the area means players have relative freedom when compared to other cities in the UK, London and Manchester. + The lack of football hype here..... the general population in Birmingham wouldn't even know who Coutinho is and would walk past him in the street.

Yes it’s his right to ask but is he correct?
It’s cold at the moment, unless you’re way up north.

Well since I’ve been supporting villa ( so I’ve left out a few greats)
It would be (for our current system)
-McGrath
-Barry
-Yorke
theres many others I’d love to add, laursen, Daley, Taylor, Staunton, etc. but they’d be my three.

We dont need F.C. after Aston Villa on the badge as there is no other entity that refers to itself as Aston Villa.

There will be no bids of over £4m.
Lyon took us to the cleaners. How that deal happened is remarkable. Amateur hour.
We got taken to the cleaners for a lot of Smiths signings, I’m not even sure he was the one picking those players.

From what I’ve seen of him (not a huge amount I’ll admit), he doesn’t seem ready to be starting games. I’m not sure what his plan is, move to one of the top 6 to play in the reserves? A loan move to the championship would be good for him in the coming season ( if it’s a club that can guarantee game time)
-
It would be a big no for Tammy from me, not better than what we have already, Serie A is a joke league now

I think Gerard has done a good job, with recruitment so far, coutinho, digne an chambers have all been astute signings, we’ll have to wait and see about kamara and Carlos.
I was just looking back at Dean smith’s signings and they were horrific, with the exception of Martinez, cash and possibly Buendia, we’ve wasted so much money.
-
I have a feeling he’ll just be another (albeit) more expensive Sanson, I’m puzzled as to why we sign so many injury prone players
-
I think the club are definitely trying to hold onto him, with the game time he’s had, but if he’s a prime donna, just let him go, attitude and loyalty are extremely important. He hasn’t shown much yet at the top level so….
-
Just looked at Gundogans last goal against us, Mings passes it beautifully to de bruyne, who plays it into the box, chambers looks like he’s seen a spider and jumps out of the way, then back of the net!

You can’t compare international football to the premier league, it’s just not as competitive generally, unless you reach the latter stages of the euros or WC

How many mistakes has he made playing for England? Not many. With better players around him at international level he's pretty solid, I imagine we will begin to see that as our defense and midfield improves.

Mings can be calm and composed though, very much so actually. He's shown it in his first 2 seasons with us (is also where all the "too casual on the ball" criticisms stem from). His hoofing down the line for Watkins seems to be a tactic, a quite fruitful one to be fair.
We’ll have to agree to disagree, Ty has done very well at times, but for me he’s a last ditch defender, lack of composure and positional sense. The hoof ball thing I don’t know, I think he struggles to pick out a pass and is worried about making mistakes, and he did make quite a few that cost us this season.
-
We badly need two calm and composed CB’s, who are comfortable enough on the ball.
last time was with Laursen & Mellberg.
Im not a hater, but if we want to push on, both Konsa and Mings should be replaced or used as back up.

Player of the year - really tough to picky anyone, an incredibly disappointing, inconsistent season, if I hadn’t to choose, probably cash.
Young player of the year - only one option here really, Ramsey, he still has a lot of work to do.
Most improved player - Ramsey
Most regressed player - where do I start, Konsa->Watkins->Martinez
Best new signing (summer or winter window, loans count) Coutinho, finally a player with composure
Worst new signing - Bailey
Most underused player - Buendia
Better manager (Deano or SG) -SG, we are playing better football, astute signings, however defence is a mess, hopefully a pre season will fix those problems. I can’t help but feel the 100 mil was wasted by DS.
Best victory - win against Man U
Worst loss - can’t choose, both Watford games, not capitulations against wolves and city
Goal of the year - Ings bicycle kick
hopefully next season, we are more composed and competitive, I’d like to see a replacement for Ming’s. I really just can’t pick a captain in this team though.

This defence was quite solid last season, the fact of the matter is defending is the entire teams responsibilty, our tactics are to blame for our defensive frailties this season, not the individual players imo.
