  1. Reckon this could be a replacement for Charlie if he leaves.

NZogbia will not be leaving this summer.

I see no reason to doubt you. Your record for predicting transfers this Summer is concrete after all.

I have only ever predicted 1 transfer, and that was from a very good source, that person however got it wrong. I simply passed on the info I was told.

As for NZogbia, it's pretty obvious he's staying. He's just had an Achilles operation and will be out for at least another month to 6 weeks.

So who exactly is going to take a massive risk by paying us money to take him and give him £55k a week!

  2. I wonder if our adventures in Germany will hinder any transfer business for a little while?

Not in the slightest, Lambert wasn't around when we signed the 6 players so far.

He says who he wants and how much he values the players for and the club does the negotiating.

The only thing hindering the incoming of at least 2 more players is the sale of Ireland, Bent and Given.

Getting them off the wage bill is now the priority.

  3. It wasn't Kenye was it?

    *waves fist angrily!*

Haha no it wasn't me, the only person I've ever mentioned about is Belanda. And that came from my so called source knowing things.

Which is obviously a load of bull**** that I fell hook line and sinker for.

I'm not going to sit around telling crap that he was going to sign etc etc, my source obviously played me along and knew nothing.

    Last time I trust him!

That being said, pretty glad we didn't sign him, looks like a bit of a ***** tbh.

Lets hope some real sources have some reliable info on this one.

  4. I have just heard from a very criditable and reliable source that Aston Villa have had a bid accepted for 12.5m euros. They have offered Belhanda a non negotiable £35k a week.

He has been offered £50k a week with another club who have also had a bid accepted by Montipeller.

It is now up to the player to decide which team he wants to join.

I have just been told by my source that Aston Villa are set to sign Belhanda for £10.75m (12.5m euros) on a contract worth £35k a week.

Apparently although another club offered him more wages, the chance to play in the premier league and the large high end 6 figure sign on fee is what made him choose Aston Villa.

Like I have said this is from a very reliable and creditable source, however I will not get too excited until I see that yellow bar flash up on sky sports news and him holding an Aston Villa shirt.

  6. No quotes.

If we were in for a player we would want quotes, so why does that change when there is an article ruling us out?

There has never been one quote about us not wanting him. Do not believe what you read in the Birmingham Mail.

Has anyone thought of it being a smokescreen, telling the paper to report that to keep all the fans calm so they are not too disappointed if this transfer doesn't happen.

Simple fact is we are in for him, mark my words!

  7. Rubbish player.

I don't believe for one moment that you've seen enough of him to say this. I've read a number of Norwich fans' opinions and they seem to generally agree that he's a decent player.

    That's because Norwich are Crap!

Only an average player, we need someone better.

  8. No way we will be getting this guy. I mean I have heard of him unlike the 5 Lambert have brought in. I reckon this could be the end of our signings already.

Ban this person for making such absurd allegations!

We want more, we want more!

  9. Bent will go?

Only if someone pays him what he wants, otherwise we're bloody stuck with him!

I think he will go.. I also think there are clubs out there that will pay his wages.

If not here, abroad and I can see him going abroad too.

That said I think a PL club will have him.

    He will go to Fulham.

They currently pay Berbarov £60k a week and Bent will accept that as he would prefer a move to the capital.

Fulham have money, they are just reluctant to spend it, but after a lot of negotiations I think he will sign for between £5m - £6m.

  10. .....................Guzan

    Lowton.....Vlaar....Okore....Bennett

    ...............Sylla.....Westwood..........

    ...................NEW CAM...................

    Gabby.….........................Weimann

    ....................Benteke......................

Subs: New GK, Clark, Luna, Delph,Tonev, Bacuna, Helenius.

Reserves: Herd, Baker, El Ahamdi, Gardner, Albrighton, Bowery, Johnson.

Ireland, Bent, NZogbia, Delfouneso, Holman, Bannan all to be sold.

  11. Will be interesting to see whether it is Luna or Bennett who lines up in the first match? opinions?

ALSO, what is interesting is number 3 is available... who will get it?!

I suspect Lambert will decide this based on who performs better during preseason.

    Bennett will be number 3.

Luna is not here to replace him but to provide competition.

Bennett has been here longer so will get number 3 if he wants it.

  12. Honestly I don't know what people worry for, we have to play everyone twice. Regardless of when we play teams, we will upset the odds a few times.

    Exactly!

I think it's a good thing, our signings have been brought in early to gel as a team.

A lot of the big clubs take time to do their transfer business so we would of played 3 of the top teams by 1st September and their teams may not be as prepared as us.

Arsenal are going to make massive changes, so will Liverpool losing Suarez.

    We have chances!

And look on the bright side if we get hammered in the first 2 games, Lerner may decide to give Lambert loads to spend on another player haha.

  13. Does anyone else get annoyed that they never seen to update the Squad page on the website.

I mean everything has been spot on with the news and new store catalogue.

But the players page still says we have Dunne, Dawkins, Lichaj, Marshall in the squad but all have already been released.

And new players we have already signed. I understand that the new players will not yet have numbers but they could at least go on with the info for each player.

Just frustrating it is never updated regularly.

  14. If you work it out last year he spent the bones of £20mil roughly and this year you'd expect a little more between the tv money and lower wage budget, he's spent roughly 4m on Okore, 1.5m on Bacuna, 1.5m on Helenius, 1.5m on Luna, 2.5m on Tonev. I'd like to think he still has 15m to play around with.

Add a keeper to that for around 2m that gives us around 13m left.

I agree with that considering we should get 5m for Bent.

So would people prefer 1 signing for 12-15m

    Or 2 at 7-8m each?

  15. Helenius fee agreed. 1.25m with 500k add ons.

In Birmingham today to complete deal.

Danish media are saying 1.2m and clauses, personal terms are expected to be settled right now and medical this afternoon. Congrats!

I am a little dissapointed with the transfer fee, but happy that he ends up in Villa. Treat him well :)

    Disappointed with the fee, seriously?

His transfer fee and wages this year will be less than someone on 55k a week being released!

The same goes with all our signings.

Paying them only 15k a week we can afford to pay £1.5 - £2.5m for players and actually save money!

Hutton, Dunne, Given, Makoun all leaving will easily pay for the 4 players we have already brought in.

Expect a big signing in July when Bent and others have been sold.

  16. I would love for us to try and sign Scott Parker if he is available. It is all well and good with all these unknown potential gems, but we all want to place high in the table next season and we desperately need some experience and grit, and hopefully from the same player. I am a firm believer of the fact that young players need guidance from the older players or else they will not develop like they could, just think about learning from Parker, Giggs, Scholes, Vieira, Terry, Lampard et al instead of just playing with guys you also played with in the Reserves. If you are good enough, you are old enough - of course - but we put a lot of faith in young players developing into Premier League-material instantly, and we saw how that turned out last season. Mixing signings like Okore with a Parker or two is the right way to go, even though it means we have to fork out a bit of wages here and there. We can obviously afford it with all the outgoing players (on high wages) and the new TV-deal.

Available for 4m but must be on about 50k a week at spurs!

Last season I would of said yes but not this year, too old and I think our midfielders will not progress aswell if we sign him.
