  1. Yep, lacking creativity unfortunately. At least we got a point though.

Not much else to say really...

Collins made some timely interceptions again.

He was the only one who stood out for me I'm afraid!

I personally thought Milner and Cuellar were up there with Collins as our top performers

Fair enough, Milner always puts in a good shift.

I think Cuellar is very limited at RB though and would prefer to see a more natural player there such as Beye or obviously L. Young.

I still say Collins stood out which unfortuantely does not say too much.

    A. Young upset me once again due to his predicatble work with the ball and his insistence to cross too long, out of play or into the goalkeepers hands. However I understand he did do something very good in the build-up to the goal.

  2. Those saying Albrighton and L. Young to start is a little premature in my opinion.

We need to win this. I'd strengthen the team with the inclusion of NRC, Emile and Beye -

    --------------Guzan-----------------

    Beye----Dunne---Collins----Warnock

    Milner----NRC---Petrov----A.Young

    --------Emile----Agbonlahor------

I feel Beye is better at getting forward than Carlos and away from home we are set up better with him included.

  3. 'granville', you are correct Machida controlled the pace of the fight to suit his style.

Some of you do not seem to understand the concept of the challenger having to beat the champion. :winkold:

Was Machida ever in severe trouble? No, apart from the leg kicks Shogun hit him once in the face. In contrast Machida answered practically every leg kick with a straight lead left to the face and on many occasions actually retaliating with a 1-2 combo.

There were two occasions where Machida actually had Shogun in trouble covering up on the fence; Shogun never once went for Machida. Machida had his gameplan which was founded upon elusiveness and not recklessness like the majority of many other pro-fights. Shogun was very reserved because he knew of Machida's countering strengths, if Shogun had over-comitted then he would have got knoocked out!

  4. I saw Amelie the other day.

The script, Audrey Tautou and the editing in that film were truely wonderful.

Rated #46 in imdb's all time greatest movies and one I really must get around to seeing.

    absolutely magical movie

    i love it

Soundtrack is excellant too. Yann Tiersen is a musician all should know.

  5. Big Trouble In Little China...

    some great lines:

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."

  6. Brilliant movie.

Treadwell was an odd character to say the least.

Quite it does make you think. I do feel sorry for Treadwell though; I know he meant well but I'm not sure what he was trying to achieve?

    A troubled soul no doubt.

  7. When I was a youngster (I think about ten yrs old) my Uncle was Head Chef at Buckingham Palace and one day my parents and I visited him in London. Later on we went to the palace...so there we were walking about the palace quite freely but at one point I remember hearing footsteps around the corner of a part we were not supposed to be in so we were literally running around trying to not get caught.

We actually have photographs of us looking out at the gates of the people looking in which is rather cool.

  8. 'The Big Lebowski' is an excellant movie: "Nobody f**** with the Jesus".

Saw this the other night -

    Grizzly_Man_Poster.jpg

Shocking, thought-provoking and an ethical treatise on human understanding if you like documentary movies.

  9. Jedi for me as well.

But I haven't actually watched Ep1 - The Phantom Menace or Ep2 - Attack of the Clones

i almost voted for Ep2 - Attack of the Clones.

It was fantastic, and pisses all over Ewok films.

    Episode 2 is absolute rubbish......

'The Phantom Menace' is also equally rubbish.

  10. I was going to say The Hidden Fortress but it doesn't appear to be on your list :winkold:

A good point but it wasn't set in space or indeed a galaxy far, far away...

Besides, 'Empire...' is clearly the superior film to 'A New Hope' anyhow.

So when's Blu-ray coming out? I heard Lucas was going to add yet more footage to update the movies once more. :?

  11. Saw 'Midnight Express' on Channel 4 recently and set it to SKY +

Great movie and a true story. Brad Davies should have won an Oscar had his performance not been so well done. Excellant support from John Hurt and Randy Quaid too.

  12. I would be classified in the 1-5 bracket. In honesty I'm 31yrs old and have had five women, although been with my lady for six years.

The "Sex Degrees of Separation" ready reckoner tots up the numbers based on your number of partners, then their previous partners, and their former lovers, and so on for six "generations" of partners.

"When we sleep with someone, we are, in effect, not only sleeping with them, but also their previous partners and their partners' previous partners, and so on," said Clare Kerr, head of sexual health at Lloydspharmacy.

It's an interesting point actually. I was reading a spiritual book which expressed a similar view albeit regarding people whose past is slightly unknown. Unfortunately it is possible to absorb the negativity from a person who may have been abused or who is mentally unstable. What might seem like a harmless one night stand could actually harm you both mentally and physically.

    Found in this book -

    LIFE FORCE

Written by a 'White Magician' (as opposed to Black Magik) Omraam Mikhael Aivahov - 'Man With White Beard'.
