  1. Tinder is great, albeit it very shallow and a dream for attention seekers

Never used it before, but after going through a break up I needed to give it a go.  I was always hesitant about using it in my home town so never bothered, but the location changer in the premium version is brilliant.  Even better as im actually going abroad for a bit.

I've been pretty picky, but had 5/6 matches in my first week, by woman that I thought would be WAY out of my league.  Id never approach that standard of lady in a bar for example.

Most seem pretty cool and happy to exchange numbers.  At least ive got some potential company with attractive females for when I arrive.  But like most have said, they will be bat shit crazy in person.

  2. Yeah i suppose proud is a bit strong, but I like the guy based on how he conducts himself in the press and just his general persona.  Dont have a problem with him blaming the players each week either and dropping hints about the board.  I think he has the right characteristics to manage at this level (not our level!!) anyway.

Given up on the football side now and expect another 7+ defeats before were done.  Nothing anyone can really do about it anymore, last dice was thrown long ago.

No, I don't think this scenario was so difficult to see coming, any optimism from our fans had to be blind optimism.

We finished 17th last season and then sold off/released the spine of that team and replaced them with unknown 'prospects' from inferior leagues.

I had said at the time I'd snap the hand off anyone offering 17th again.

haha i hear you, i'm as blind as they come.  It's only when you actually see the other teams start playing you know youre screwed.

  4. Remi (and Ayew) is still the only thing im slightly proud of at the moment.  Dont care if we aren't winning, no manager could succeed.  We just aren't good enough at this level.

We need a calm head at the moment leading the club, hopefully we can still go down with a bit of dignity at least.  Neutrals feel sorry for us at least so we're no longer a laughing stock anymore.  We're way beyond that, a dying lion, no one wants to see that shit :(

  5. If most of us are honest, we were quite optimistic about our chances this season after the recruitment process in the summer.  Big fees paid out for players, who on paper looked like top talents or at least well thought out signings (individually).  Shame non of them actually played in a style we needed though and not replacing Benteke was criminal and smacks of over confidence from the scouting team.  Again it's unqualified people making HUGE decisions.  I bet they were all high fiving and thinking theyre 'the man' after that board meeting :bang:

But yeah, we totally messed it up as usual, 'on paper' and 'well thought out' dont win football matches.  As mentioned even though the new signings have actually done better than experienced ones, that 55m spent is now worth about 50% less and they are all damaged goods.

Ayew, Amavi and Traore will still fetch a decent fee and probably go on the be a top players.  We're stuck with the rest, I just got to hope they find their feet in the Championship.

  6. The quality of the manager doesn't really matter if the setup is wrong.  All these teams above us had a proper 5 year plan,  we chopped and changed our plan with every new appointment.  The seriousness of this **** up needs to be documented! I'm glad the press are now starting to take notice.  It's not fair we're labelled as a 'laughing stock', it goes much deeper than that.  Neutrals should feel sorry for us!

What were you rowing over at festies?

    Just her drinking

Quietest person in the room, to the loudest most obnoxious/rowdy in the space of 2 drinks.  Been getting gradually worse over the years

Booze is evil in the wrong hands.

Love my girlfriend very much. Would finish it before cheating on her.

That said, we're not quite cut from the same block. She's not into moving much and likes her home comforts.

She won't run for a bus, or dance or camp at festivals... You get the idea.

I do these things with other girls.

Mentioned this before, the trade off is that she will pick up my phone and go through my messages.

Considering the freedom I get, (she works some weekends, and I'll stay out) that's fair enough really.

Trouble is, if we move out of London? I'd want to take my dancing partner too :D

    Complete opposite to me!

We're cut from the same block, my messages were checked daily, I couldn't speak/be friends with other girls outside our circle.  Fine for the GF to have loads of online male mates though ive never met.

Festivals turned into a drunken argumentative mess and were no longer enjoyable.

Still love her to bits, but we're taking a break now

  9. In that case, do not put him in the shop window and keep his appearances down so we dont trigger the supposed clause ;)

Or just let Hutton/Clark injure him in their own time

  10. Still like Garde, at least he's acting with a bit of integrity.  Can you imagine how Sherwood would be conducting himself now !?

Not much Remi can do, we have played at 110% effort a few times this season and still not been good enough.  This is what buying inexperience does, none of our squad know how to perform at this level and are not mentally or physically cut out for it.  Total mess with no easy fix.  It's going to take at least 2 seasons to get the dressing room 'right'.  We need some leaders and they are so hard to find.  Expected more from the villa fans in our squad, disgraceful.

  11. Tend to agree.  The guy is injured for the rest of the season, so I think he will be with us until January at least.  Cant see (m)any clubs taking a 8m punt in the summer?  He's only had 60 odd minutes playing time?  Same goes for Amavi, needs to recover first before getting his move.

They will destroy the Championship.  It's Vital we keep them for the first part of next season.

Grealish and Garnder to get their chance too.  It's still a very, very bad situation, but this is my only glimmer of positivity.

  12. Reel Steel. Yep it was pretty cheesy in parts, but I was 'pleasantly' surprised.  Would never have bothered if IMDB didn't rate it as a 7/10

    Good film for a hangover

and i must have watched the first part of Castaway for the tenth time last night.  All goes downhill after Wilson leaves.  Love the idea of desert island survival.

  13. I also cant get over some of the head ram battles the buffalo and goats etc do.  The force they hit each other at is unreal.

Elephant seal battles are pretty gruesome aswell.  Total bloodbath.

I've always been fascinated by primates. For our honeymoon last year we hiked through the jungle in Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park. We spent time with a highland mountain gorilla family in the wild - totally mind-blowing.

Here is the family silverback - he just sat down in that pool of light. About 10 seconds later he charged us!!

That is clearly just the gorilla from the Dairy Milk advert and you've cropped out the drum kit and dropped a nice jungle scene over the top.  Nice try !!

But seriously though, that's just been added to my bucket list ;)

yeah that'd be a great way of doing it but you misjudged me with the "leftovers" ;)

american pulled pork is becoming the same as every other food in england, we discover it, like it, find the way of mass producing it as cheaply as possible in effect destroying it, i still dont mind ordering it but half the time it seems to be on the side of something else which will more than likely be half a spoonful of pointless rubbish on top of a burger

haha don't get me started on burgers.  salt and pepper that's it.  No breadcrumbs, no egg, no onions.  Just meat.  Add the other things after!

after watching rick stein in shanghai* i tried cooking chairman mao's favourite dish, red braised pork, basically tried to make it like chinese pulled pork rather than using pork belly, sugar, soy sauce, cinnamon, ginger, star anise... was good, not sure if id be better off going to wing yip and just getting a jar of char sui paste (great stuff btw) served it with some potato straws and spring onion

will try it again with a couple of tweaks, definitely a good meal in there somewhere

    * i like rick steins BBC travel programmes, watched his india show this morning too, strange considering i think of him as a fish chef that i have little interest in his restaurant because im not a massive fish eater but he's going to interesting places and seems a sound enough bloke to make it a good watch

Can imagine any left over pork would be good wrapped in those Chinese pancakes or in a lettuce wrap.  Few deep fried crispy noodles/cucumber for texture, you can thank me later ;)

Gone off the American pulled pork, much prefer the English way.  Salt, Pepper, Cracking, apple sauce and/or mustard!

my missus checked up on a few of my posts the other month and had a paddy. its when people were posting pics of their missus and i just made some polite comments, anyway she did not like it. it pissed me off that she felt the need to snoop and then get arsy over me being me and also me making innocent comments. i nearly deleted my VT account over it.

But she's fine with the other stuff, you're quite open on here?

You should write a biography one day, we should get some crowd funding going...best seller!
