Speaking from a Liverpool perspective I think we were lucky to get all 3 points.

Yes we were in control for much of the first half and it was a brilliant Sturridge run and finish to break through, however as against Stoke Mignolet definitely saved us 2 points in the second half.

I have been really impressed with Lambert after a very hard start to his Villa tenure.

If I were a Villa fan I would be very hopeful for the season, did fantastic against an Arsenal team who shat all over Fenerbahce and Fulham, but for terrible ref decisions you should have had more against Chelsea and Mignolet denied you at least a point against us.

From a neutral point of view (Liverpool fan) I think you did well against Utd last week and were doing well here until you were royally screwed by the linesman.

I see signs of progress from Lambert and wouldn't be to disheartened.

Similar to Rodgers start at Liverpool, starting to see signs of improvement.

I work in Liverpool and most Reds are pretty pissed off they've wasted that amount of money on him.

They must be suicidal over the £20m for Henderson then.

From a Liverpool view I'm happy with the Downing signing, been a while since we've had a genuine winger, £20m is excessive but then the entire transfer market is crazy at the moment.

As for Henderson, the fee was £13m plus £3m add-ons, don't believe the £20m hype going around.

Word from our (Liverpool) ITK's is that a £20m fee has been agreed and now the only thing left to sort out whether the payment is in installments or a lump sum.
