Apart from some decent football once in awhile, I`ve seen Villa hoof the ball for 5-6 seasons. Please, either try something else, or get relegated, its disgrace.

Surely sacked now..? Cant set up the team to defend simple set piece plays. Appaling!

For a norwegian villa fan, this has been a pretty unproductive work day with yet another twist this evening.

The falling out of the owner røkke is a HUGE deal for Molde FK. Its abit like if the arabs were to pull out of man city, which will pretty much end Molde`s challenge in the norwegian league.

I fail to see that the owner would react like this if there were no evidence of something more then a casual chat. This is ofcourse supported by private jet, and RL flight back to the US.

Its going to pretty interesting to see what OGS can bring to Villa if everything works out. His Molde side is built up alot like Man Utd, with full backs bombing forward, quick wingers, one creative midfielder and a usually two holding midfielders. They keep the ball quite well, and is probably the best counterattacking side in Norway.

I see OGS as an excellent man manager, whos built a winning mentality in the molde squad (pretty much the opposite of eck). He has an excellent backroom staff in Molde consisting of a few ex utd coaches if im not mistaken. If he is to succeed he will need a strong backroom staff in Villa aswell.

There are plenty of similar types of AM around. Pretty weird if our board would choose him given his affiliation to blues, PR disaster. That said, i dont think he will do a worse job then Hughes or GH. I see infact AM as a MON light, who will guarantee us a top 10 finish but probably not more. So much for passing the ball along the deck ey!

The sadest part from the potential appointment is that it really confirms that we are a mid-table side and is likely to be so in the foreseeable future.

MON at least brought in Ash, Downing, and Milner to help Villa get to 6th. Who would McLeish bring in/retain to keep top 10 quality? Zigic? Washed up loans?

That we dont know. However pretty harsh comparing those transfers given that the two clubs operate under two different budgets wont you agree? Those players you mention here cost around £30 mill in total, even AM would find decent players for that sum.

I do not support the appointment, but you have to ask the question if this is the best we can get. If so, the reputation of the club is weaker than we all thought.

We are so poor its fckin ridiculous. You can throw away any plan that we've had. Top 4?? You'd be happy to get top 10 with this side. Curtis Davies and beye can just fck off, useless defending. Ashley young will leave prolly soon, and i dont blame him. This side is going NOWHERE!

A really tough match, thank goodness for our solid defence. Cuellar is really impressive at the moment! Fair play to stoke, they battled well and perhaps deserved a point. Delighted we won though

We were lucky to get a point tonight in what was a horrible performance. For me sitting back for 80 minutes and not create anything is just pathetic. Atleast try to do something constructive with the ball instead of hoofing it to a lonely striker.
