Have calmed down a bit from last night. Just rewatched the highlights again. We had a few decent moments going forward.
I just have this feeling that we will still turn this around. Difficult, but far from impossible, especially with a couple of players coming back.

Gonna check out the Yak on Thursday if any of yous are around: 2 Sayer Street, SE17 1FG

Suprised the old Claret and Blue Gas Towers site opposite Matalan Island on the A38M has not been mentioned, Been derelict for a while now since they got taken down. Easy access to motorways, Near city centre and round the corner from New HS2 Station
Just a few units to mop up and we can have tear ups on Rocky Lane every game
This is exactly where I was thinking the other day. Still Aston(ish) and walkable from town. Wouldn't surprise we one bit if it happened. Would also fit into an 'expansion of Birmingham City Centre' narrative that been talked about over the years too.

I am! Plenty of Villans in London to be fair, pretty sure there is a supporters club as well.
I remember when I first moved to London (about 15 years ago) it was dead easy to get tickets for all the London away games through official channels. I went to Palace, Fulham, West Ham etc all just by booking through avfc.com. Now its basically impossible to get a ticket .. shame really.
Not heard of that pub ... but will look it up!
Ah! Been in London a similar amount of time to me then. Nice.
Went to Feed The Yak last night. FULL of Villa fans. It's on Sayer Street in Elephant. Check it out.

Being a London-based Villa fan, I thought I'd resurrect this thread!
Anyone generally around? And also, has anyone checked out the Villa bar near Elephant and Castle? I think it's called Feed The Yak.

- 22-23: Liverpool 5th (67 points)
- 21-22: Arsenal 5th (69 points)
- 20-21: Leicester 5th (66 points)
- 19-20: Leicester 5th (62 points)
Sorry to be a pendant Leeroy, but that's not they're saying. You need to look at how many points 6th place got in those years and then add a point as they would have hypothetically been enough to secure 5th:
- 22-23: Brighton 6th (62 points) - therefore 63 needed (or better goal difference)
- 21-22: Man United 6th (58 points) - therefore 59 needed (or better goal difference)
- 20-21: West Ham 6th (65 points) - therefore 66 needed (or better goal difference)
- 19-20: Spurs 6th (59 points) - therefore 60 needed (or better goal difference)
and for good measure
- 18-19: Man United 6th (66 points) - therefore 67 needed (or better goal difference)
Regardless, it's many cases as you say it's more than 60. Usually mid-sixties. Maybe 2 more wins.
Still can't be dropping points like we did yesterday!
PS. Hopefully it's not like 2016-17 when you needed 70 points to beat Man U in 6th place and finish 5th

I actually jumped from my seat watching the Chelsea v Man U game whilst on the tube when Palmer scored the winner. Looked a right div!

I wouldn't say box-to-box, but I'm wondering whether he's got it in his locker to support the midfield in defensively more than he currently has been doing. We're obviously a bit light defensively in midfield. A thought.

Serious question, do we think Ezri could do the Stones role for Villa?

Playing Arsenal in between their UCL games with Bayern. Could be a good time to play them.

I really like the look of him and Bailey playing together. Gives teams a lot to think about.

Great to see the usual 9 mins of added time backfiring for Man United.

Maybe he should have gone to Saudi. It's about his level.

Really annoyed with the result.
1) Why oh why did we take Bailey off? What was Emery doing? It's the most Villa thing to do; let up when the opposition are on the ropes.
2) Cash is done at Villa. Positionally all over the place. Shooting from dumb positions. Must be sold in the summer (hopefully someone is stupid enough to buy him).
3) Diaby: really starting to question why we signed him. Not offering anything.
4) Everything is too f***king slow. We were losing and walking around.
A psychologically damaging defeat.

Obviously very poor tonight. Kamara was particularly sloppy.
Concerned with our inability to play through the lines and the overall tempo of our play. We're looking too pedestrian are too slow to engage teams.
Some players looked like they had more than half an eye on Sunday.
Oh well...
