This is just my take on things regarding the terrace view but I think the holte end ticketing should have been left alone given it’s the essence of the ground and where the atmosphere is driven from so giving what seems to to be 2 or 3 thousand tickets too this product and stopping real fans getting into the upper holte for me starts to put us up there with the Man Utd prawn sandwich brigade when the are loads of other areas this could happen. On a personal perspective I’m about 10000 in the ST Que so I have a Villa membership which was great last season as I could get an upper holte seat for most games so I went to probably 12/13 home games. This season I couldn’t get a ticket for Luton or West Ham and have had to get a ticket in the lower holte on a different row to my son so I have asked Villa for a membership refund as it’s basically pointless
The top two rows of K2 are pretty much always empty now.
Not too sure what that compares to last season as I didn't take much notice up there, as a member I would generally go around rows 23-28 in K2 or K6 as they were available at 5pm Monday on the dot.
I went for the TV season ticket as I just wanted to be guaranteed Holte Upper all season and didn't know if it'd be as available as before. My problem now is, I can't purchase cup games that aren't Terrace View. There's tons of seats available in Holte Upper right now for Alkmaar and Legia, my own ST seat is gone yet I can't purchase TV and I still can't purchase a normal seat on the general sale. The ticketing situation is a problem for everyone atm and I've been complaining to the TV team on a regular basis about my own experience and getting the views of everyone else thrown in to my moaning as well.Ben Davey, who was the main contact for running The Terrace View, appears to have suddenly left without giving fans notice. I don't think I've been the only one voicing the complaints.
Are there any other Terrace View ST holders with this problem?

Terrace View for league games - £114 - Holte End tickets + 2 drinks + programme.
Lower Grounds - £120 - Trinity or Doug Ellis ticket + all you can eat.
Hospitality Lite appears to be the aim of the game at the moment. The club is losing out though, if they'd just sort their services for the other 40,000 fans at every game they sell a load more food and drink.

£72 per European game in the group. No multibuy option.
I can't purchase normal seats as they've locked me onto TV even though I've still got an active membership. I don't expect sympathy but I've bought a season ticket with no real STH benefits outside of having my seat sorted for home league games and they've stripped the members benefits as well... wonder if any other Terrace View people are having this issue too.- 1

Thought I’d chip in with my own Terrace View experience and compare to elsewhere in the ground over the last few years.
1) Service within the Terrace View is great, it’s not packed in there and the bar is well manned. Drinks vouchers accepted on anything you fancy and soft drinks are served from the tap rather than bottled. I’d prefer a bottle to take up the stand tbh. Food is pre-paid on the screens and collected from the food counters like in the lower Holte.
2) Food – I went to Yard Birds in the main concourse as my lad fancied the chicken and chips, which was £12.50. Pricing within the Terrace View was much the same, Fish and Chips at £12.50 and a couple of other options at a similar price.
3) Getting in was easy from up the steps at the Holte, programmes, lanyards and vouchers handed out on the door and a wristband put on. I detest the damn wristband, I’m not all inclusive on holiday I’m in the bloody Holte End.
4) Atmosphere inside from the get go was pretty good cheering on the England Women which was showing throughout the screens. The people seemed a good mix of fans in shorts and Villa tops and families with kids. Certainly didn’t have a corporate feel to it, definitely geared towards fans who are familiar with the Holte over those who are used to corporate hospitality.
5) My seating is at the top of K2. It’s a solid atmosphere up there, I’d rather be at the top of K3/4/5 than in the wings. I’ve sat up there for a few games last season and the lower Holte for 6/7 last season as well. Central upper Holte is by far and away my favourite place to be.
To compare service, I never usually attempt to get a drink at half time at games it’s always a problem. The Doug Ellis upper being by far the worst, I went down on the half time whistle once and didn’t get a drink until the second half had kicked off. And I still needed a piss.
Atmosphere is by far and away the best in the Holte. I don’t really like being outside of the main atmosphere, that’s why I love away games the most and I don't like sitting in the Trinity at all. I won the Leicester Away ballot from last season and only Brighton at home superseded that for game experience of the season. All in all I went to 2 away games and 18 home games as a member in 22/23 and been going to about 8-10 a season before that, but as my lad has been more and more into it we’ve been going more and more. I was a Lower Holte STH in my teens (O'Neill era) but couldn't afford it in my early adult life as a young parent.
I didn’t hear the derogatory chants at half time, so can’t really comment on that. I did feel much like another poster as soon as I was exiting the Terrace the lanyard was pocketed and I felt awkward with the wristband. I just want to be like any other fan in the Holte and stand for the 90 chanting my head off.
My main complaints with the Terrace View are outside of the actual experience like being locked onto Terrace View only for cup games which I simply cannot pay on a game by game basis. I wanted to have normal access tickets for Hibs, but the Terrace View manager basically shunned that idea and I couldn't buy them online despite being a 'Season Ticket Holder' and I still have an active membership. I wanted to sit in the Doug Ellis lower for the night with family and friends who are members given the upper Holte is locked off to them and I'm now locked out of the other places in the stadium. I'm sure my complaints to them about this will fall on deaf ears.- 5

Question for anyone that purchased these TV tickets - have you received your ticket cards?
I’ve been on holiday for 2 weeks and was expecting to see them on my doormat when I returned today, but there is nothing! I do have 2 missed delivery cards from Royal Mail though - was it sent by Royal Mail recorded delivery by any chance? Panicking now!
Thanks!!!
First Class Small Parcel... not recorded.

Whats the view like at the very back of the holte?
The view is very good. The top row might be a bit far from the pitch to be ideal. I had a few games last season in rows 21-30, K2 / K3 and all were great.

if you buy one of these , does that mean you qualify for European tickets for away games ?
I'd like to go to few of these , but from what I saw for the Hibs game , tickets will ONLY be available to season ticket holders ?
It's a ballot like any other away ticket. there's so few European tickets anyway that it's virtually impossible to get one.
19 hours ago, OutByEaster? said:That's a strange one and something I hadn't thought of - you'll be sitting in the Upper Holte, but access to that part of the ground is going to be very limited for members, given that season ticket holders take up more than two thirds of the total seating and then the next six hundred available seats are occupied by Terrace View ticket holders.
If you have a couple of family members who have memberships, it's very unlikely that they'll be able to sit next to you, and possibly quite unlikely they'll be able to get into the Upper Holte - while at the same time, because of your status as a Hospitality Season ticket holder, you can't move out for a game so that all three of you can sit together in an area elsewhere in the ground - the separation of ticket type means that getting next to a specific member sounds almost impossible.
I'd guess that they'll give existing Terrace View members a first option on the remaining (single game) spots in the Terrace View and then do their best to re-seat you somewhere in the Upper Holte together?
I can't sit elsewhere for the Conference Game, I'm locked in to my ST seat. I'm going to accept it for now while complaining at them as much as I can and skip home cup games if I have to as I'm not paying separately for Terrace View.
The fact I have a membership STILL ACTIVE and could not purchase separate tickets to the Conference Game when they went available to members has been the biggest piss take for me. -

Nope haven't had anything as of Friday and i'm on holiday now until Saturday so lets hope they're on the matt when we get back!!
Communication has been abysmal just like you say. Its been woeful from start to finish. I have been on to my member profile and all the games show up now. According to that i'm in K4 row 35 which is right at the back which isn't ideal as i'd like to have been a bit lower. Although i'm not sure if they are permanent seats.
I think the upper holte season ticket is cheap anyway as do my mates who go regular to other clubs around the country. Look at prices for other clubs and £40 odd quid a game is near non existent at a top club
I'm not sure if we can choose other areas of the ground with our season cards as i think we're now classed as hospitality season holders now?
I'm near the top of K2. I've got a couple of family who are members so they can use their memberships when it comes to other tickets if needs be I suppose. My own membership doesn't actually end until October but I can't use it purchase tickets elsewhere which I've complained about but they say they can't do anything about now I'm a 'hospitality' ticket holder, which it wasn't sold to me as in the first place.
Hopefully they listen to the current feedback and change over tiime.

I've bought two of these season tickets. It was exactly what i was looking to buy. i'm not too bothered about it being hospitality but being in the upper holte was a priority for me.
I've been to hospitality a number of times in the past and i've always looked and listened enviably to the holte end as that is where all the noise and atmosphere comes from. I've sat there a couple of times last season and there is nowhere else in the ground i'd like to be.
It will also be nice being able to go to the loo, get a drink and something to eat without waiting an age and having the toilet full of smokers!
Yes it was a bit expensive but after talking to some mates who support other clubs they thought it wasn't that bad. £87 a game for a guaranteed ticket to every game with a lounge area before during and after and some drinks thrown in. One of them said it was a bargain but he is a spurs fan. Just for reference the other two were an arsenal fan and a manc.
Hi mate. I was in the exact same boat. Went to every home game last season bar Leeds (it was a Friday and I was working) sitting all over the ground. Holte Upper was always 10/10 every time so took the option for this ticket when it was offered to me.
Have you had your Season Card yet? Your seats allocated? I haven't yet unfortunately. The information and communication from the club has been abysmal and I can't purchase any Conference League seats unless it's a Terrace View package either... I've been in contact and they're looking to resolve it this week. Seems there were a lot of things they didn't prepare for in the lead up to selling these off.
Think it works out to £82 per game and included is 2 x drinks per game + programme per game too so it's not as extortionate as it's made out to be especially if you're adding in the beers.

I'm on row 16 and I'm on the last row of normal seating now. The back 20 rows are all rail seating so there's 36.
According to the ticketing site K2 has 35 rows. From 21 to 35 is shown as "This is a future Rail Seat"

I've been a Villa fan since before I can remember. An occasional season ticket holder when I could afford it and under O'Neill, I'm now in the position to be taking my own son to a lot of games, he's become as obsessed as I was as a kid and my Villa obsession has hit a new high watching how he enjoys the experiences too.
Favourite moment from last season; I was one lucky sod to win the away ticket ballot for members and we went to the King Power for the first time. Traore's goal was proper pandemonium in the away end and that was my favourite experience from 22/23.
My goal this season is to get to a European away day. It's something I never got the chance to in my youth and would love to do that with my son.

I don't think the 3PM blackout is valid any more. I do go to my local non-league and I do so even midweek when the Champions League is on.
Fans that go to games are not the same fans that watch on the TV. The TV games are also on Saturdays, people who attend Saturday games will mostly miss the other televised games anyway even if they rush home.
