  1. Just to clarify I want Dougie to stay & I think Dougie wants to stay ... but if we got £80 million for him & then went out & brought Gallagher £40 million & Baena for £40 million would we be happy ? 🤔

Villa talk has simultaneously ruined this man’s reputation and sent Krispy Kreme stock down by double digit percentages.

is there nothing we can’t ruin

    Uni Emery 🤷‍♂️

No it doesn't. Casement Park would be smaller than our current capacity- if it gets built that is (even less likely than our expansion plans I would say)

My bad thought you had to have 50,000+ to be able to host a game in the Euro's

The club is not currently in the process of booking that equipment for the end of next season.

Guessing you have some inside knowledge then 👍 in that case then the club isn't bothered on hosting the Euro's then in 2028 as don't we need 50,000 + seated stadium for that ? & that redevelopment of the North Stand enabled us to be a confirmed stadium for the Euro's.

You can't just start a project like again this out of nowhere. Most of the major plant building equipment required would already be booked for other builds now. We have cancelled so will be at the back of the queue. They can be 12 month waits for certain bits of kit.

I get that, what if the club are currently in the prosses of booking that equipment for the end of next season ? but the club or Heck have never said cancelled, paused is the word they've used, I have no idea what's going & neither does anybody else other than Aston villa football club. All we know at the moment is the club is planning on  maximising every bit of revenue out of fans, sponsorship deals, new kits & adding 1500 seats. Would be nice for the club to come out & clarify what's going on regards new stand project. But we may here something during the summer on the long term plans or if they have shelved the North Stand redevelopment.

UEFA insist that any new stadium or stand has been open in the season prior to the tournament so that they don't have first day snagging problems in the middle of their shiny tournament, which means we'd need to be complete by August 2027 - if we start next summer that'll be a very tight schedule. It's extremely unlikely that any work starts until after the Euros.

Would be tight but possible, or they leave it till after the Euros & go bigger incorporating the Doug Ellis in with the North stand plans, who knows but I do think it hasn't been cancelled, it's just timing on when to do the project.

  7. I think we will revisited the North stand project again the end of next season, again I haven't heard the word cancelled in any of Hecks briefings, the word paused as always been used. I get where Heck is coming from in regards to revenue streams into the club & if you read alot of articles regards PSR this year would be our trickiest, because of how closed with pushed PSR to get to where we are today. So I understand maximising revenue streams into the club whilst we have our 1st season in the top flight of European football in 40 odd years. & I believe if we did pause the North Stand project for a year & start it next year it would still be completed in time for the Euro's in 2028

  8. As much as I want the book thrown at them, I sadly can't see it, the Premier is a brand & probably the best brand football wise in the world & Man city spear head that brand, you wipe them out & relegate them into championship, league 1 or 2 the brand will take an almoght hit in my view. But hey ho here's hoping 🤞

  9. & looks like he won't be on a free, in the For the love of Paul Mcgrath Podcast Neil was speaking with a Luton fan who is saying he had a clause in his 2 year contract if Luton were relegated that he could leave for a fee in-between £5 -8 million

Yes my thinking too. 2 year deal and club option for 3rd, plus 60k a week salary. Improvement over Dendonker, Iroegbunam or Chambers in CM

& were offering him Champions league football 🙌

  11. Can't remember where I have heard or read this but it's believed that he is on £30,000 a week at Luton. I suppose that adds to the appeal also as I'm not sure will be offering anything in the region of £100,000 a week.

I don't agree, we need to find a holding midfielder at a similar level to Kamara because he's out for probably half of next season, we need an upgrade at right back, so at least 2 need additions to the first 11. Arguably another centre back/left back hybrid to add to the team too depending on what right back we go for. So at least three new starting players I'd say + 1 or 2 squad players to improve our depth.

I do agree about injuries and you would hope that next season would be more generous on that front, but no one knows for sure. We will still be in Europe and may go far in the League Cup or FA Cup (or both) and injuries will pile up if that happens. It happened to Newcastle, Brighton, Man Utd, Chelsea and other teams this season as well.

Thats what I was saying regards injuries, kamara prime example, he stays fit this side of Xmas & things would of been more comfortable, yes regards recruitment additions, like a defensive midfielder & that's priority as Kamara probably won't be back till 2 months into, same as left back season, I see at least 1 centre half come in to replace Longlet, maybe another depending on Mings, if Emery likes playing 4 centre midfielders a expected another midfielder on top of the defensive midfielder also, not sure bout rightback unless he sells Cash & also leftback unless Digne goes,I do think we will sell Duran tho & that means a back up forward. But I'm not panicking one bit because we have Emery & Monchi all over it, Emery will know how to build a sqaud for Europe he has been in Europe for 18 straight seasons now 👍

I’m excited I just want us to rectify the very clear issues we have before the start of next season, precisely because we will be facing Europe’s elite while still trying to maintain a top 4 push.

Don't think there are issues to address, other than Sqaud depth for more quality, if we hadn't of got the injuries we've had this season, I think we would of finished more comfortably in the top 4 & maybe stayed in the title race longer, so little bit of luck with injuries next season & a few good additions, we will be just fine under Emery.

Top 4 teams and teams who win things have standards and expectations, if you’re happy to sign off the season with thumping from Palace and no wins in 6 then fair enough. I’m absolutely not diminishing what we’ve achieved this season but you can’t just switch on and off good form and winning football matches when you feel like it, momentum is absolutely a massive factor in winning games.

We have 11 players out injured that would all compete for a starting place, we've had massive players out since Xmas aswell as Mings & Beundia since start of season, I personally find it remarkable we've got 4th with the injuries we've had, some players have played 53, 54 games because there has been no rotation because of injures there out on there feet & some have played with injuries, of course the play to win & Emery would of set upto win but Palace are probably the form side in the Premier league at the moment, you give me this game with something on it & a full strength Villa sqaud or even half those players available, this result doesn't happen. There is circumstances why this result is happening, so you have to move on & forget it, sure Emery & players will do & will be bang at it come start of next season.

The concerning thing is the momentum we’re carrying through to the start of next season. This match on its own doesn’t bother me, it’s job done for top 4 but finishing the season without a win in 6 isn’t great really.

Honestly 🤦‍♂️ momentum going into next season what are you on .... the momentum going into next season will be finishing 4th & qualifying for champions league this game means nothing to anyone connected with Aston Villa except you.

Get a grip? For stating facts…

im not bashing the manager or the players im just saying our recent form is taking the shine off a good season. Apologies for my hysterical overreactions.

no wonder people don’t bother venturing out of off topic very often when you aren’t even allowed to have an opinion on here.

Nobody cares, i expected a loss expecting to get thumped, jobs done, exceptional season 👏👏

We just need one of 5 different fixtures to go our way.....surely!

That's it in a nutshell that's why Spurs are currently 16/1 to make fourth, maybe worth a punt even if its to soften the blow if the very unlikely was to happen 👍
