We worked hard and managed to stay in the game and give ourselves a chance with a sucker punch. On another day we get an pen and you don’t but fair result, no complaints.
Thanks. You guys have been good to chat with.
Villa in the last 20 had the upper hand, no question. It's as good a match as we've had at home. Brighton may have gotten a draw, but we were crap against them. We were sharp today but you countered us with effort.
Cheers

... prepared to piss off if necessary.
That was a fight. Don't think anyone had 2 seconds on the ball without a challenge all match. Your 4-3-2-1 kept us from clean passing lanes, your shape was disciplined. Martinez was a rock. Great distribution too. Atwell was useless going both ways. He can still eat my hat. Both clubs are lucky to escape without stretchers on the pitch.
Mings and Targett were solid from where I sat. Mings MOTM performance, was everywhere.
Could have been multiple pens. Shots were 20-4, 5-0 on goal. Not gonna say the score was unfair, but seriously, could have gone either way with a bounce.
Smoking my last smoke, blindfold on.

Not necessarily.
We are getting under their skins, and we've barely attacked ourselves.
If we can finger out how to get our attacks together, anything is possible.
Over to SG to do the tweaking required.

What’s your take on that half RF? I think we’ve frustrated LPool quite a bit and effectively nullified a very potent attack. Will be a very interesting second half
You guys are driving us crazy with the pressing. Atwell can eat my hat. Kudos to your energy level. Pitch looks like ice, kind of expecting a pulled groin somewhere soon.

I’m just showing off with the laughing emoji. If it’s any consolation I think you’ll wallop us in the upcoming game.
Rub it in, why don't ya... . Fingers crossed, but I'm not putting any money against you guys.

Guess it was the Wolves game then, sorry.
I'd send you a thumbs up, but my account hasn't unlocked that far yet.

West Ham beat them. Brighton came from 2 down to draw at Anfield. Brentford drew 3-3 with them. It can be done. However, the fact we have started very slowly in the last couple makes me think it could be a long afternoon on Merseyside. They are just relentlessly good right now like a machine
The constant between all of those games was we were missing Thiago Alcantara. He's bloody amazing at keeping/gaining possession. Really ties the room together.
The other constant was they all came in and played their game. Wolves should have been on that list too. It's no guarantee of points, but that's the way I see it.
Can't see Stevie letting anyone take a nap early on.

I saw that and whilst you ultimately overpowered Wolves, the first 20 mins was how I think (if there is ultimately any real way) Liverpool can be rattled. The high energy press kind of got to them a bit. Once Wolves conceded it was game over, but they had a few chances early doors.
Edit. actually it might have been the Everton game. I can't remember tbf.
We were up 2-0 after twenty against the Ev, could have been 4, easy. Wolves on the other hand, came right at us. High pressure, close marking in midfield and their backs were unreal. Mad credit to Ait-Nouri. Ran himself into the ground to keep Salah in check. Wasn't til Hoever came on for him that Mo could find some space. Exploited a kid to create a chance.
While we did have the lions share of chances against Wolves, we did well to limit them moving against us, especially in open play. It looks like our best setup is TAA, Matip, VVD, Robbo across the back with Fabinho as a DM, Henderson right and Thiago left. Hendo and Thiago both excel in covering for our fullbacks. If that's who starts, I feel safe. Replace any of them, it'll get exciting for Allison.

I would expect the same squad we played against Wolves. Firmino and Keita are possible starters, heard they're close. Konate is getting called into more physical matchups too, so no surprise if he slots in for Matip.

1) 7-2

Wolves just proved we can be played by a stout defence and midfield pressure. No doubt your boys will be passionate about coming to Anfield for Stevie, so I expect your start to be brave. Guarantee the 7-2 is written in the dressing room at Kirkby. Don't see a clean sheet for either side. Our guys have Milan on the road while you have a week to prepare. 2-1 is my hope, prepared for the worst.

Old west coast Canadian here. Bruce Grobbelaar was my first favorite. Used to play for my local side. Seriously lacking in folks to chat the game with close to home, so I turn to message boards. RedFloyd is my handle everywhere, so if you see me about, give a wave.
I know how to be polite. I recognize that I'm on your ground here, and will conduct myself accordingly.
Yes, Stevie G is why I chose to make an account. Yes, I'm hoping he does well. No, I don't want him to replace Klopp. I don't want Klopp to leave, ever.
Only teams I hate are United and Chelsea, see title.
