  1. Scary thing is I’d rather play Arsenal than West Ham at the moment, and we play them next!! We’re going to get thumped.

Does anyone actually believe what Deans said tonight? That we will learn for the next game, didn’t he say something similar after the last two games? Does anyone really believe we’ll see an improvement for west Ham after the so called improvement tonight?
    Doubt it

That's always it, you and others will always argue where he's taken us from but don't see the bigger picture.

He's tactically limited and not going to do anything with this team, it's obvious, and now our style of play is frickin awful too so he hasn't even got that to fall back on.

I've just had enough of him and don't think he can move us forward. If you don't agree fine, but I think it's pretty obvious he can't take us any further.

Spot on, too many with rose tinted glasses on, would have been a fairytale for smith to take us further, but I think our fairytale was smith as manager and grealish as captain getting us back up, now it’s time for the harsh reality that he’s out of his depth and if the owners have the ambition they say they do they need to show it, looking at what they’ve spent compared to others they do!

The only thing that ever so slightly worries me is that he implies that Buendia, Bailey and Ings have been brought in to replace Grealish's output and, whilst it's wise to reduce the reliance on one player, that would indicate we don't improve - we stand still.

I'm hoping £100m is used on top of a healthy budget, not that it is the budget.

Buendia £35m Bailey £30m and Ings £25m would mean we still have £10m of the fee left PLUS continued investment in trying to push us towards Europe. So another two top quality players are needed to progress in my opinion. Another midfielder and a defender.

Just posted the same thing mate, replace grealish with even someone or 3 just as good together and we still haven’t improved, just stayed still 🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. Really hope this doesn’t mean that’s the end of our business, replacing jack with 3 is great and all, but if you simply replace Jack it’s still the team that finished bottom half of the league? I know it’s not that simple but surely we needed to move forward from last season not just stand still?

No announcement from villa about jack yet for accepting the bid....?

This is the weirdest thing of all to me!
Other than Ings we always seem to announce an agreement before we sign anyone, and yes this would be Citys place to announce something and not ours, but if it was so clear cut and he’d agreed to go which he obviously has, surely they would announce it to build hype up for the press conference of the British transfer record?

My two pence on it all as it’s my first post on here, as much as I wanted him to stay for footballing reasons only, no one player is bigger than the club, he seems to enjoy the high life, doesn’t exactly behave outside of football like a club captain should and with all the rubbish about my club etc, 👋🏻👋🏻

  6. Hi.
Life long villa fan here that’s used the site often in the past but finally would like to join in with discussions and add my two pence.

Former multiple Holte end upper and Doug Ellis stand season ticket holder, but unfortunately can’t justify the cost due to work commitments meaning I’d miss half the games, so would like to at least have some of the chat and camaraderie that I used to enjoy 😊
