  1. I do find it a bit curious that a lot of people seem hung up on Mings' mental health, but not on Emi's after the recent inverview. Mings said he had some confidence issues during the Euros (there might be more into that I just haven't picked up yet); Emi just said he's been using a psychologist since he was 22-23. I don't think it matters too much, some people cope better with pressure than others and I am happy that the players that don't, do something about it. And to be fair to them both, you don't get to the level they're playing at unless you're able to manage the pressure. I think both of them would do a terrific job.

  2. Release clauses are a Spanish thing, where you need one in order to register with La Liga. The buying club will submit the bid to the Spanish FA, they do not even have to talk to the selling club.

This is not the case in England which is why there are so few, if any, release clauses in the PL. I think it’s more of a dolled up handshake deal if Jack indeed has one.

  3. Hitler saw the German peoples as a collectivist living organism, within which foreign peoples were a cancer. You could say he was xenophobic towards the Brits, and racist towards the latin and slavic peoples along with jews and gypsies.

That said, Tyrone Mings has grown immensely both as a player and a character over the last two years imo.

How on earth can Bednarek get his red overturned but Luiz hasn't. It's like they try to make everything as controversial as possible.

Difference is Martial dived I guess. I would assume Martial get a ban now that they cleared Bednarek?

It'd be a fluke if it didn't happen so often.  I think in most games we have lost we have created more and better chances than the opposition.

Thats not a fluke, its a pattern.

I agree us not taking our chances is a pattern, but conceding those three goals today was a total fluke. And scoring twice at Burnley will almost always get you three points.

  6. I watched Liverpool-Burnley also, and for them to come away from the last two games with six points is a 1/100 scenario at best....

If we played Burnleys three goal scoring situations ten times over, I’m sure we would go home with a clean sheet seven or eight times.

Gigantic fluke, so have some perspective.

  7. I credit Man City at Etihad with a 3.5-0 win at the start of every campaign so I am happy we got to use the most hopeless fixture of the season to gain some match fitness for the Newcastle game and not destroy our goal difference in the process.

Regarding the first goal I will just borrow Trevor Morley's summary on Norwegian TV: "If that's the rules, it's absolutely rubbish ... there's no common sense in it" and "If that's the rules, and I believe you [pundit] because you're more clever than me and you're younger than me, I'm with Dean Smith

  8. For some reason Leeds have a huge following in Norway. I wouldn't be surprised if they're third, behind Liverpool and Man Utd (at least if you count out those who only know of one Ronaldo).

Please let us beat them on Friday.

I agree with you in sentiment, and he has indeed been phenomenal, but credit where credit is due, and Mitrovic managed to get about 3000 headers in at our goal that day, and on another day could’ve bagged himself a couple.

Although Mitrovic will cause these problems to many a centre back this year, there’s still work to be done in the heading department, and to say he was neutralised I think is a bit of a stretch.

Aside from that, the rest of his game has been spot on.

I think he got one header on goal up against Konsa. He had a dangerous header, but that was up against Mings.
