It didnt catch up with him he hit the jackpot. £8m pay off for being his usual terrible self. There's a good case study to be done on how this charlatan managed to steal a living in football management for so long.

Without doubt moneywise, yes he's won the lottery again & again...

He did really well at brum, also at hull.

He seems to struggle at bigger clubs for some reason.

Steve Bruce and his pals in the media has somehow managed to make him out to be the victim.

    Just brilliant.

He walked out on palace to take the brum job.

He walked out on sheff w to take the newcastle job.

There may be other examples. Karma catches up with him.

Did Leeds win or something, why are these weirdos back?

No, we are looking pretty bad at the moment.

Injuries yes but we have some good youngsters barely getting a look in.

He keeps playing Tyler Roberts who really is stealing a living.

Then Adam Forshaw who has barely played for 2 years, almost permanently injured & not a prem player.

They need a reality check, the problems run deeper. They can get a top class manager but unless they have things right from board level down to the pitch they won't succeed.

We've seen this at many clubs now, Leicester a prime example of getting it right. Arsenal and Spurs examples of how they are getting it wrong. Spurs had one of the best managers in the world and still messed it up.

Liverpool have s great manager but again have an excellent team behind him and closer to board level Michael Edwards does a superb job.

Bielsa too is a fantastic manager but Leeds are building the club to have the same philosophy down to youth level, and I expect them to reap the rewards in recent years.

Everton I'm not sure what they are trying to do other than throw money at things. They very much remind me of ourselves in the MON days but not as successful. That money hasn't accounted for anything, not Europe or even a cup final?

Yep. good post. Everton just throwing money at it.

Leeds to be top 4 next season 😇

Hello to all our visiting Leeds fans.

It's funny Bamford has been left out the squad isn't it?

I think it's because he dives too much.

Bamford has took so much crap over the years he's used to it.

At leeds he's just improved himself to try to prove the doubters wrong.

Going for top 4 next season should make him a bit more noticed 🤠

You’ve never played football and had someone sliding in on you. Confirmed.

Played sunday league till I was 36.

I forgot to look back at the ref 😇

Ollie hasn't initiated/created contact like Kane does.

He hasn't faked contact like Leeds players.

He's running full tilt at the keeper who has come out feet first. Ollie gets a touch last and knows he's getting hit.

The contact is a lot lighter than expected, which makes it look questionable for some.

For me though, its a pen...and even if not, is not a dive. He hasn't "simulated" anything. At all.

Just watched it & he's diving before contact then the cheating clue...

He instantly looks back at the ref.

To be fair it was dropping to bits even the last time Leeds were in the top division. They built that big new stand, but the rest of it was still a crumbling concrete relic. What it does have going for it is decent acoustics, but it’s a tired ground and bluntly, pretty ugly both inside and out. I guess for Leeds fans it’s home, but you’d think if they prosper it will get 3 sides developed, one by one. Wasn’t there an issue with the trading pitches next to the ground and who owns them, or is that all sorted now?

Ground & land ownership is all sorted.

They're gunna re-route elland road so they can extend the south stand. The gelderd to be made bigger, single tier.

Then new west stand. But the newish east stand needs all the front sorted as most people are taller than 4ft.

Leeds should try to arrange an alternative venue until this is sorted, if for no other reason than it's hindering their own style of play.

    You need a new fork?

Leeds had been out of the big money for so long, the ground is dropping to bits.

So the drainage system collapsing doesn't surprise me.

Looks like we're staying up so they'll live with the pitch for this season.

The whole ground needs work on it. They have plans to knock the old west stand down & build new to get capacity up.

But the newest stand was built on the cheap in 1992-3, even after getting a 7.5m grant. Most fans don't know that they used the terracing from the old lowfields east side, so the seats are on that at the front. The obvious result being the seat rows are so close the leg room is terrible.

There is a thread on waccoe about ground improvements but I'm of the feeling they should 'do a spurs', ie: knock it all down & re-build a new stadium on the same plot :)

Said in the match thread I'd seen on social media about th euros being held in the UK and Leeds hosting games the general consensus amongst Leeds fans seems to be you'll have another new pitch in the summer

Found out that the drainage system has given up & is going to be totally replaced in the summer, along with the pitch.

They got no choice. I think that was the plan but it got so bad at the end of last year that they tried to do something quick, ie: buy spurs nfl pitch.

    That just hasn't worked.

To be fair it can't help you having to play on that every other game.

If we had a history of it then I might understand it. But as I put, inthe 90's, 00's.. in to the championship, league 1, the pitch was fine.

But in the last year it just got so bad that as put, we bought spurs 2nd pitch but that just hasn't bedded in.
