  1. Something just didn’t quite seem right from the start of this whole Rudiger incident. Just to get it clear in my head, there was 61,000 fans in the stadium, then 22 players, maybe about 100 stewards, 20 staff on both benches plus the 4 officials and he was the only person in the whole stadium who heard the alleged monkey chants???
Spurs’s investigation has proved “inconclusive” and not a single fan close to the alleged incident has come forward to say they heard any racist noises? Isn’t it possible that what Rudiger heard may have been just booing instead of monkey chants? And Gary “the moral knight” Nevilles “passionate” speech after the game was a complete waste of time?

The problem we have is not "local confidence" where a game will put it right.....this is deep rooted.

So you think even if we beat Norwich and Watford we’re still in the mire?

  3. I’m gonna go a bit left field here but here me out. I know the defensive organisation is poor but you know what DS’s biggest blunder could be this season imo, not playing Wesley against Liverpool in League Cup! Why? If he plays against Liverpool, he either A: scores a hatrick(a bit of an ask I know!), but he comes off that pitch 10 foot tall like Bertie Big Bollox and he saves our season! Or B: A bunch of kids mark him out the game and DS finally twigs that he’s gash and plays Kodjia against Southampton!
Instead, he plays Kodjia, scores 2 goals, has a good game, but then gets dropped for the Southampton game and plays Wesley again! I despair with the man, I really do! 😪

Mark my words people, we are due a hammering. We are eventually going to go up against a team who is absolutely on form and on fire, and we will be ripped apart.

We did get hammered, against Leicester!! 4-1 flattered us! If it wasn’t for Heaton that would have been 6 or 7 easy!

Personally I think we can afford relegation. Look at Burnley and Dyche

Look at Leeds, look at Forest, look at Sheff Wed, look at Derby! Been in that brutal god forsaken division for years! Dont know about anyone else on here but I HATED EVERY F***ING SECOND of being in that Championship! 😩

  6. Looking back, we must have seen this coming from last season. We conceded 2 at home to Blues, 5 at home to Forest, 2 at home to Stoke, 3 at home to Leeds, 2 at home to QPR, 3 at home to Swansea(cup), 2 at home to Hull, 3 at home to Sheff Utd, 2 at home to Albion. Is that down to Dean Smith? Is it down to John Terry? A different back 4, but the same defensive problems.

Bit puzzled how you remember all this stuff, but you only joined VT a couple of days ago? And you seem to be spending most of your time on here trying to get a rise out of people.

    All seems a bit 🔷👃

I’m extremely puzzled how someone who’s been on this forum TEN YEARS doesn’t know how to look back through old posts!!🤔. And I joined because I was getting more frustrated with DS and I wanted to know how other fans felt about him. Never been a fan of his since day 1 but that’s just my personal view. For the record I genuinely never thought we would be relegated this season on the basis that we were a better team than Southampton,Norwich and Watford. Unfortunately after Saturday mine, and many others opinion on here has changed.
Never my intention to wind anyone up on here, if it comes across like that, that is down to pure frustration that our season is going down the shitter! Never thought we’d finish in the top half but I never thought we’d be in the bottom 3 at Xmas!

Is JT a defending legend who cannot coach?

Football through history is littered with great players who were terrible managers/coaches. It’s always puzzled me why everyone is assuming JT will be a successful coach just because Lampard and Gerrard are doing well.

And people complain about the players not having the fight. Too many posters on this board are weak bottlers. We're only just in the bottom three, with a string of massive games coming up.

People acting like it's **** Remi Garde all over again.

Get over yourselves and get behind the team and the manager

Breaking news mate, one of those “string of massive games” has just happened, and we got smashed at home!!

Nobody said that at all but cool. you only just opened an account yet mainly just post in this thread 🤔🤔🤔

    REALLY?????

This transfer window is insane. I don't think I will ever experience one like this again. They players we have brought in are just so exciting. Normally I would be over the moon and really happy had we brought in one or two of them, now we have over 10!

I thought our budget would be around £50-60M and then a couple of loans and freebees. Now we are seriously building someting

Thats from August 4th, from another deluded fan, you’ve got a short memory! And whats your point about me just joining site? You was born on here or didn’t you join at some point also?

If it was so simple we should have won every game Jack started last season. Bruce would still be manager. Football its so Easy

Your right, good point, it’s never that simplistic! Trouble is, the man in charge at the moment is making the game look very very difficult.

  12. Remember  how everyone on here was saying what a brilliant transfer window it was, what great players we’d signed, how excited everyone was for the new season, how we’d signed Benrahma from Brentford, and we was in “advanced talks” with Belloti from Torino! 🤔. Aahh, happy days indeed.

Reminds me of February last year. String of poor results everyone was saying our season was over and Smith was done.

He turned it around, put together one of our best runs in recent history and got us bloddy promoted.

No he didn’t, Jack Grealish came back from injury. What did he do differently? What was the miracle change in tactics or formation? I must have missed it!

We had a tricky spell this time last year and Smith came out of it with flying colours

Smith was clueless when Grealish was injured, won 2 out of 15 and was in bottom half of Championship! Jack comes back, we win 10 in a row and it’s all Dean!😆

But from real life experience , nothing unites more, than  a crises

Except at a football club with overinflated bank balances and over inflated egos, and I’m not just talking about Villa, any club.

but player for player feel we are at least on par with the Sheffield’s/ Brighton etc

Absolutely spot on! The difference is in the coaches! DS isn’t fit to lace Chris Wilder’s shoe laces.

Think we just underestimated how tough it would be to stay up this season.

Quote of the day!!😆 Just how easy did you think it would be mate? Another deluded fan who thought we would finish in the top half?Another deluded fan who thought Bournemouth would just turn up and have there belly tickled? Another deluded fan who thought we had a Premier League manager who’d bought Premier League players?

People were saying the same thing when we were in the Championship though, and we were good enough last season to get promoted.

We fluked promotion mate! We had to beat our club record wins, lost 1 game in our last 13 was it? And we still only made the playoffs by 3 points! Then we scrape passed WBA on pens, and then just about beat Derby. It’s not like we romped the division by 10 points. This isn’t the Championship, DS is being tactically outclassed week in week out, no Plan B, and not much of a Plan A!

  19. Absolutely hilarious reading all the old posts from the Dean Smith lovers. Was never convinced by the man from day 1. Without Jack the man is clueless. It’s great playing your open free flowing attacking football with Brentford in the Championship where’s there’s no pressure! Welcome to the real world Dean, your so out of your depth in the Prem it’s embarrassing! Even if we do stay up from here it’ll be nothing to do with this man. What an absolute tool playing Wesley again today!

At the risk of sounding a bit old school, I'm starting to think our biggest problem is set pieces

It’s the middle of December and you’ve only just spotted this??Mate, there’s a bloke on Mars in a cave with his hands over his eye who knows we’ve conceded the most goals from set pieces this season! 😄

    12 hours ago, KentVillan said:

If we could defend set pieces properly, we'd have had 3 points vs. Man Utd, 1 point vs Arsenal, and probably extra points against teams like Brighton, etc.

That’s right, cause if we could defend set pieces we might have got 4 points from the Brighton game instead of just the 3! 🤪

Besides Engels / Mings / Wesley we have quite a short team

    Jonathan Kodjia : 6’2

    Anwar El Gazi: 6’2
    Henri Lansbury: 6’0

    Matt Targett: 6’0

    Ahmed Elmohamady :6’0

  21. Being 2-0 up at the King Power Stadium and making the future champions look like mugs. Sat watching it thinking, f**k me, we look a really good team! As false dawns go.......

Watching the most one sided FA Cup Final in history and seeing Tim Sherwood stood on the touchline looking like a rabbit in headlights.

Dalian Atkinson passing away. Had a tear in my eye when Match Of The Day played out the show with his goal against Wimbledon.

Oh and being the very first team to be knocked out of the 3rd round of the FACup when we lost to Millwall on a Friday night has always stuck in my throat.
