  1. Hi General

I would really love to go to the cup game at St Andrew’s but, to be honest, I am rather concerned about my personal safety. Can I implore the club to lay on official travel?

It doesn’t have to be free. In fact, I bet I’m not the only one who would part with a tenner just to make sure I get there and back in one piece.

My suggestion would be that folks could get themselves to Villa Park (parking there if necessary) and then be taken straight to the away end. I honestly think both clubs will live to regret any failure to keep the two sets of fans apart outside the ground before and after the game.

For myself, there is no way I will go if I'm getting there on my own steam of by public transport.

I agree, I would happily pay to get to and from St.Andrews without any nonsense!

  2. Hi General

Just to echo a few other thoughts. I think it is outrageous that any fan who went to Sunderland, even those without a previous booking history or a season ticket can get a ticket ahead of me for the quarter finals...I couldn't make Sunderland because of work commitments yet those get priority? Whatever happened to rewarding fan loyalty? Free travel was a great gesture but doesn't mean you have to give them priority too...it is a MASSIVE mistake and may result in me missing out on a quarter final ticket.

Agreed, i dont post on here very often, but i felt the need to when i heard about the arrangements for the portsmouth game. I have a season ticket and have been to about 30 away games (inc friendlies) in the past season and a bit... i live in bournemouth so have rack up thousands of miles a season... yet somebody who went to sunderland (due to the free coach travel and a cheap ticket price) but has no other away games or a season ticket gets priority over me! this surely flies in the face of the logic of rewarding loyalty

  3. General Krulak here:

Interesting you should ask that question because Randy and I had a fairly long discussion today about Villa. In a nutshell, Randy is very pleased with the Club. He is proud of MON and the coaches and physios and grounds people at Bodymoor Heath...he is proud of the folks at Villa Park...he is proud of the youth squads, the reserves and the first team and he is VERY proud of the fans and how they support the team. Each day brings a deeper respect for the ethos of the Aston Villa Football Club and the committment to keep that ethos alive. Passion is not too mild a word when it comes to Randy's feeling for the Club and passion for the game.

i would just like to say that im proud of the villa as well, we have come so far since the randy revolution, thanks!
