So genuine question...
Does anyone still want him gone? Intrigued for your reasoning why if so...
No, Deano should stay. We were dead and buried 2 weeks ago but he’s done the near impossible. He deserves to stay. Just hope that fighting spirit that has kept us up goes with us into next season!!

Not one part of me thought we were staying up after we went 7 points adrift. Unbelievable. I’m still shaking!!! Think I’ve pissed off all my neighbours with all the shouting and jumping up and down!!! God knows what will happen next season but we are PREMIER LEAGUE!!!!!! UTV!!!

Apart from Villa escaping relegation, Brentford pipping the Baggies to an automatic spot would really help make my season! I would bloody love to see that happen!!

7-0 at half time...I'd refuse to go back out.
8-0 now!!! Hull City.... a team still on the M62 by the looks of it!

3 points bagged against Everton and then maybe I will begin to dream the dream of us staying up.

Over the past 5 seasons I've felt genuinely optimistic on several occasions.
I've seen various poor players and bad attitudes leave. They are replaced with fresh players with fresh attitudes who are surely much better than the players we lost.
But 6 months later I realise that we've got the same problems.....just different names giving us those problems.
Again, I feel optimistic that the squad is clearly much better after the transfer window than before. But I have a nagging doubt that I'll be disappointed once more.
I think it's a medical condition called "Warren Aspinal Syndrome".
That's why I've said it now before any balls are kicked tonight or onwards from today. Making the most of this rare feeling before I'm proved wrong!

Can't say the feeling of 'excitement' and 'Aston Villa' are two things I have associated together much in recent times but I'm feeling it today! I'm feeling wildly optimistic and I'm fancying a cheeky steal on the play offs now. UTV!!! Anyone else?!

I've been one of his biggest supporters tbh. Even though things haven't clicked for him as yet, I've argued with fans that its all down to our shocking midfield, and once that's sorted Ross will be a big player for us.
But, i genuinely think we've had a discipline problem for to long at this club and the attitude of some of our players over the last few years has been nothing short of disgraceful. So my tolerance to player behaviour is at an all time low, and i would now gladly sell him. Is that too reactionary? Maybe, but attitude is everything in this game, and seemingly McCormack's stinks.
The club has been to soft, with to many, for far to long.
Thank for the welcome!
My thoughts exactly as regards discipline within the club.
Even Bruce has mentioned it recently with the McCormack situation. It's a case of de ja vu again. I would love to see RMC pick up his dummy now and see what he is made of with these new signings behind him. I don't believe it to be too reactionary to sell him if he carries on with this attitude. Something has to change. Hopefully Bruce will instil some discipline. It's been an obvious problem for a while. Just look at last season. I'm not a huge fan of Gabby tbh but RMC could take a leaf out of his book right now and attempt to try and turn things around otherwise he does needs to go.

I was a fan of RMC when he came to the club but the recent events are just embarrassing. Bruce is right to drop him. I would much prefer to see him pull his finger out and start recreating the form that cost us 12 million quid in the summer. Refusing to train and coming up with pathetic excuses about broken gates while he sits on his lazy ass makes me very angry. By all means get rid of him as he is not (obviously) fit to wear the shirt but who is going to pay anywhere near what we did to take him off our hands?

Hello fellow Villians
I am new to this site. I have been a supporter and Holte End season ticket holder for 25 years. I am from Erdington and love all things Claret and Blue. I am passionate about the club and would like to be able to contribute to the topics of the moment. I am looking forward to making this site a part of my daily routine.
UTV!!

Something happened when we won the game at Palace. The Villa were playing and actually carving out results. Pre lockdown and up to the Palace game we were awful. Smith’s had a massive learning curve and it needs to be built on next season.
