Championship players for a championship team, makes sense. We aren't going to be buying players of a prem standard until we're back there, so we really should be looking to get the guys who have proven themselves to be assets at this level.

A combination of proven championship players, as well as players with potential to grow with the club beyond championship level would be ideal. Dont want to fill up on 2nd tier players, then need another complete overhaul when/if we are promoted. 

I hope that's not it, id really like a shirt with no collar this year. 

I would be happy with a Leandro Bacuna redemption arc.

Guzan just played the best game of his life for the USMNT, because of course he did. I still agree he needs to be gone from the club.

If true, Bentley immediately excites me as a potential number 1 keeper of the future. 

Hey all, I'm a relatively new Villa fan living in Arizona in the US. I started watching English football when the NHL was on lockout, and the following season my hockey team, the Coyotes, had a year about as abysmal as Villa's was this year. I definitely knew I didn't want to be a glory hunter, and anyone with any knowledge of Arizona sports knows we kind of have a resentment of big market, buy-your-championships type teams, as we are pretty much the little brother to Los Angeles in every sport. I pretty quickly got attached to Villa after, shamelessly, deciding they were going to be my team because I a) really liked their kits and b)had a really deep career mode on Fifa (yeah, I know) with them. So I picked them, stuck with my choice, and watched as much as I possibly could. I have followed every moment of the team over the last year and a half or so, and learned as much as I could. Bought the kit, studied the history, etc. I've also been casually stalking this forum over that period as well. Anyway, enough rambling. I'm glad to be here! UTV
