As someone who doesn't play FM, could the concept of a relegation clause be explained to me? Obviously something changes (wages etc.) but do they benefit the club or the player? Do the players get released or do we have the power to keep them, or is it to do with being able to keep them on much lower wages?
How does having them written into the players contract help prepare us for the drop is basically what I'm asking!

By far the most frustrating player in the squad. That being said I do like him and I think he has the potential to pull of something ridiculous, he just hasn't done it for a while

Did you mean can? If so I agree with you, feel much better about his management than anyone we've had recently (which is not hard!)

2-1 Villa, 87th minute screamer from Veretout, and then some backs to the wall defending with Gestede heading off the line in the 93rd minute. Somethings gotta fall our way soon.

Apart from Favre (who is obviously not coming) I honestly can't think of anyone I'd rather have than Garde right now. Rodgers is the same level of quality as Lambert IMO (and we know how that turned out) and as others have said Moyes has been out of the British game a while - I feel like he would struggle to inspire the players and we would just end up in the same place we are now.
Garde seems a smart appointment given the french influx in the last year, and he has done well at Lyon (not that I follow french football). Other clubs have had success with a foreign manager, why can't we?

It never even crossed my mind but now that you say it I really want him to get a call up. I cant be alone in thinking he had the potential for this in his breakthrough season? He was great.
