I'm a Villa fan; I live in Birmingham; I have two children... things don't just go this well. There must be despondency, resignation, misery and drowning of sorrows.

 

I'm not ready to reassess my entire life just because Tim Cockney Sherwood decides to revitalise the Villa. What next? He's gonna pop round on Friday evenings offering to babysit? Stuff and nonsense.

Yep just when I thought that was all our business done the quality of the target go up a notch!! could we be seeing the class of 2015/2016 keep this group together for a couple of seasons!

Wow I have suddenly found the excitement of being a villa fan again this has been the best thing that has happened at villa for years. I think once Tim & Ray get them to click we could look forward to some exciting matches. What a way to blow away the Lambert years!

Sad to hear that his injury problems show no sign of resolving. I do feel for the man but it was somewhat disappointing that he made comments about a club that has supported him through his many injuries, he managed just 79 games in 3 years. His wish to play at a higher level may well happen but he would be lucky to find a club more understanding than villa have been even offering him another contract Knowing that further surgery was required.

I just want to get this of my chest Delph should just stick to playing football and not talking to the press as every time he opens his mouth he ends up putting his foot in it. Though I accept that he was noble in signing a contract he didn't need to but in all honesty it was the least he could do for a club that stood by him through a never ending list of false starts due to injury. We at least deserved some form of restitution for the seasons lost to injury. So when he did finally get a run of games then we in the end saw the guy we paid £6 million for back in 2009 yep six years ago and he managed just three season of football in that time and was well paid for being injured.

2009-2010 played 9 games 

2010-2011 played 0 games

2011-2012 played 11 games

2012-2013 played 24 games (signed new contract i think)

2013-2014 played 34 games 

2014-2015 played 28 games 

so looking at this you can see why anything but signing a new contract would have been downright criminal

Be warned you'll not win anything with kids

If by Monday we have Amavi and Darder things won't look to bad but then we'll be into another meltdown with Benteke leaving. I like that we are going for unproven quality but I'd like a few with PL experience as well. Spending the Benteke money on Praet Embolo etc would be good but they may take time to settle but I'd rather do that than buy the recent dross

No experience, No Fear, No Baggage and point to prove  thats got to be an improvement on the last few season trying to win will be better to watch than trying not to lose!

Earlier on today, my Ipswich supporting friend told me Delph was going.  I was all like "what the **** LOL, he said last week he was staying bro, you're such a Tractor n00b."  FABIAN DELPH, YOU HAVE MADE ME WRONG IN THE EYES OF MY IPSWICH FRIEND.  I can think of no greater slur you can inflict upon me, no greater wound you can quicken upon me, you bloody **** ****.  I hope you die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.  I hope Ciaran Clark tackles you so hard, that your legs separate from your body at such velocity that they become the first human body parts to exit our solar system, such becomes their celestial trajectory.  I hope as a result of this, Ciaran has to enter witness protection and change his name to "Ciaran Clarke", further confusing the perpetually illiterate members of our fanbase.

I for on cant wait for the new signings I sure that Tim had anticipated these events. We could all see how shocked the club was when Delph didn't leave last week. I think at that point Tim already was planning for life without him and without doubt he will have planed for if someone put up the funds for Benteke we all hoped he would stay but reality is he really wanted out and to be fair what can we expect with the terrible last three seasons our club has been through.

So now "we go again"lol I know it's  hard for some people to get their head around but it is possible to put a team together with 40 - 50 million and the reality is we have a opportunity to change everything and I have confidence that Tim has an eye for quality players.

you know, recent past season has proven alot, and it would of been expected that with a better manager in charge, that guzan, vlaar, delph and benteke should of been the spine of the team to lead us next season, they are the players we should of supposedly kept, however.

 

vlaar, utter sicknote and not as good as the club promoted when he first signed, and delph & benteke moving on to pastures that look like the grass is greener when in actual fact its been repainted green to mislead the pound sign eyes.

in guzan we trust, in richards we trust, we now need a leader from midfield and a beast of a striker.

Yep I agree funny how he had no offer at a "higher level" in premier league so now ends up in Italy we will see how the delph benteke plays out but we have been crap for to long and they where just the best of a totally average group of players lets get some more quality in and off load all the freeloaders

A rubbish football team losing three of its top four players. Takeover falling through. Adebayor being the strongest striker link we're getting. Our big signing still actually waiting for clearance. Other exciting names being incredibly reluctant to join us. Being seen as a small time club that struggles to survive in the Premier League. Not even being the top club in the Midlands. It's a crap time to be a Villa fan isn't it?!

 

I'm just hoping this nightmare doesn't all come true in the next few days, but I'm already getting the feeling it will. I'll forever be a season ticket holder because I'm a weak idiot but I'm so sick of football and Villa in particular.

 

The only way I'll have any hope if the above comes true is if we spend well over £50m on further signings (bearing in mind that Lerner would only need to spend £10m odd with our sales) but I fear we're goin to make a big profit this year on player sales.

Calm down! I like how Tim is making his squad it needed a complete overhaul and thats what we are getting and it's about time! if we lose Delph, Benteke, not ideal but it's the way the premier league is.  I would be more than happy to see a few more go but this is an exciting time to be a villa fan villa will go on. if we still keep buying quality then I think some good things will happen this season and I'm sure that we are working on some targets that may not have even been mentioned yet! 

 

This is not a time to panic I for one can't wait to see what happens next at least we are seeing some changes and after the last 4 seasons of dreadful football maybe this is exactly what we need. I see a young hungry side being put together with real quality. out with the old in with the new up the Villa!

I would be upset if he is going but to be honest if he goes I have confidence in Tim getting a good quality replacement. It would be a strange turn of events if he does go after everything. Maybe they have given him assurance that he will have enough game time. I just hope he won't end up on the bench for the whole season.

Apparently if we sign Amavi, we've still only spent around £12M net. Yet Sherwood says that he has to sell to buy. Looks like money's still going to be tight with Randy around, and a takeover seeming like it could be less likely. Even one of Almstadt's duties is to find 'better value for money signings'.

I think that statement was more about reminding the fringe players that they need to get out and find new clubs. I can understand that some of these players have good contracts but would they really like to just sit back and take the money! what message are they sending out to other potential clubs looking to buy!! no ambition, no pride so therefore no good!! A footballers life in the top level is not very long in general and to waste two or three years at a club that will not play you and has told you to find a new role is bizzare! It's a very sad indictment of how football players are now, what has happened to the passion that they had when they stated their journey. 

 

It's a shame that Cissokho doesn't fit into Tim's plans, as I think he's a good left back. Ah well, we need more outs though, such is the size of the squad and he's not a first teamer. 

 

Yeah I thought he was fine too. Good in defence at least okay in attack. But if we can get Amavi in it's probably an improvement, so what the hell.
