Yes, he commented recently and said he didn't want to create false hope. If he felt someone was ready, they would be there.
Thanks. I only saw the comments about the extra GK. I still think it would be more beneficial to have a youth player there. Surely Kesler-Hayden could be a useful addition?

Has Emery mentioned anywhere why he continually has an empty seat on the bench rather than having a young player there?

Gerrard started pretty well didn’t he? The next ten matches will be where we really see.
If I've not made a mistake, they both have the record of W5 L4 D1.

Identical record to Gerrard's first 10 Premier League games.

Reading the Southampton forums you'd think we'd performed a smash and grab with 18% possession, beggars belief.
I thought yesterday was a fairly comfortable win. As comfortable a 1-0 win you can get away from home in the Premier League.

A very good game yesterday. I'd say our best 0-90 mins performance under Emery so far. We had a lot of the ball and controlled the game very well (especially the first half). I'm looking forward to seeing how we build on it.
Does anyone know why the extra GK was put on the bench instead of an outfield player?

I must admit, I'm not a fan of Emery. His style of play is too negative for my liking. From his comments when he joined I was expecting us to control games more. He's got points on the board but so did Gerrard when he first arrived. I also thought he'd have given a chance to some of the youngsters. I don't think he's given any a chance and we've played two cup games while he's been here.

I'd be happy with André Villas-Boas if he's interested. He's previously managed Sanson and Kamara, decent football, PL experience, gives youth a chance and he has a fancy foreign name that sounds similar to 'Villa's boss'.

Ruben Amorim is apparently a young, pragmatic coach with simple instructions, that wants all to 'buy in' to a winning mentality. What could possibly go wrong?

Yet to complete a pass for us.

Not a bad effort but the lion looks like it's in inverted commas.

I did it with a sky blue background but now it's been mentioned I have to agree, it looks a little out of place.

What are you making it on? if photoshop, create a circle shape with no fill or stroke so you have a path, then when you select the type tool click on the path (when you hover it will show a little circle around the type tool). Your text will follow the path without stretching the individual letters.
I used an old app on the PC called Paint Shop Pro. I did similar to what you suggested. I used the ellipse tool then ran the text along it. I'm not great at using it tbh.

The font is a little off.

I was interested to see how Beale has set up so far at QPR and it's similar to how he and Gerrard initially set up here. From the QPR website:
QPR lined up in a 4-3-2-1 formation but Beale stressed that is likely to be adapted over the course of the coming campaign.
“The formation will be very, very flexible,” he explained. “It will be a four (at the back) sometimes, three at others. It will be about getting the best players for each game on the pitch and playing in the right areas.

I did this but then realised the lion looked a little similar to Villa Report. I also did a Las Vegas Villains alternative.

This season's shield, the new shirt's lion with a silhouette of the Holte End entrance. Similar font too.
