Not really, we are in the same division as those teams and beating Liverpool in no way excuses this fool of a manager from the losses to lower league teams. We can't progress because of the financial constraints, the likes of Bradford and Sheffield United have.. oh wait.
Doesn't wash me with me sorry. The excuse has worn thin over the years and the football has got worse over the time too.
we also beat Cityx2, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool x2 in his time. Sort of kills the predictable moaning cup excuses doesnt it
I see you are forgetting another Chelsea game where we didn't do so well.

I think he has had more than enough time to show us that he has the ability to sort us out, he has failed in that too. Also the Bent substitution was rather bizarre to say the least.
-
Why can't we compete in the FA Cup or in the League Cup?
-
Anybody explain the logic behind Bents introduction last night?
-
Lambert is a clown, proof is his Bent substitution last night. He has a win ratio to be ashamed of along with all the other records and accolades he holds. I really wish him no ill but I want the fool out of Villa Park today. I don't buy this about him not spending or not having money for wages, Coco the clown with Ronald McDonald could have done better.

If he wants to go let him, I don't ant anyone who doesn't want to be here.

What about being happy with a point away from home? A clean sheet against a team with Alex Song in midfield. Alex Song. From Barcelona. People on here are just hung up on the West Ham thing, thinking West Ham are a league 2 team. Depressing forum, uplifting result. UTV
Happy with one point from the last seven games? The manager needs sacking along with his assistant.

The ref was atrocious.
-
I know a few people are blaming the Ref for the defeat but he was equally bad for both teams.
You cant blame him for the incompetence of our manager either.
-
The only way I will be more optimistic will be is we sack the manager and his assistant and bring in someone who knows how to run a football club.
-
Four goals in eight games.

Was he the waterboy?

Hi guys,
This one is making me nervous, as good as our points tally is I fear we will get found out by our lack of goals and Cities quality. We need a team effort of monumental proportions, that said there is always hope.

Ok well here goes
Without posting my life story, which would send most of you off to KRO, I will tell you a bit about me and my love of all things Villa.
I am generally a fairly private person these days and tend to keep myself to myself, except when it comes to my beloved Villa. If we win the manager my as well have just won us the World Cup and the players are just a step below the gods of old. If we lose the manager needs sacking and the players should never wear the shirt again. That's how it feels until reality kicks back in after about two mins.
I first went down the Vills when I was a tiny lad in the 60's, so that puts me in my 50's. I have seen us plumb the depths in the old third division and I have seen us fly to the moon to win the European Cup. (Back when it was a proper 'champions league')
So that's me, passionate about the villa with a wife who will never understand the love I have for it.
