Got caught out of position too many times today.

Would have loved one or two more in but at least we're in a stronger position than we were this time last year.

Heard Cleverley's agent on Talksport earlier; sounded like a right knob. Didn't go as far as to name us but said as a 'middle of the road' club we should be doing something more to lure him. Obviously wants mega wages when first team football should be more important.

No not all, everyone's entitled to their opinion. But when you've got certain people blaming him for not "grabbing the bull by the horns" and single handedly winning us the game last night, things are getting a bit ridiculous. Do you not think?

I'm sure all the people criticising Westwood on here would probably be slating Lambert for not signing players like him if he played for Swansea or someone.

The criticism of him on here is getting beyond ridiculous now. Honestly not worth debating with some people.

Don't see why we'd be in for Palacios now we've got Sanchez.

Comes across as a nice fella. Would have been easy for him to slag us off after the way he's been treated but he just seems to have got on with it. Liked the way he celebrated the goal yesterday as well.

Just listening to the new Courteeners album - liking it so far. Jamie T's new song 'Zombie' is a good one too.

I hope once Sanchez comes in and Westwood's given a bit more of a licence to push on and play, he'll prove a few of the doubters on here wrong.

Fair play to the lad, was excellent yesterday. Loved that at full time with Ron.

I just don't understand some fans mentality. We moan about the hoof ball we've been playing under Lambert, but still slate Westwood when he's one of the only ones that tries to play football the right way.

I'm not moaning at the way he tries to play. He is a capable passer of the ball, I just think we need and can do better.

So who do you suggest? We paid what? 800k for him? Who could you get better than Westwood for a few million in our current situation?

Just because Westwood was relatively cheap doesn't mean he is excused from criticism.

Westwood switches off when we don't have the ball. When in possession he isn't a bad passer when keeping it short and ticking over. But when he tries to put long balls they are very hit and miss. His movement is poor and fails to create space for the rest of the team.

Didn't say it made him exempt from criticism, I just asked for better alternatives.

Won't go on about passing again but as for poor movement and not creating space, I'd say he's one of our only players that gives the player on the ball an option. It's players like Gabby and Weimann you should be aiming that at.

Westwood's massively underrated, just like Carrick was/still is criticised by many. On the whole he reads the game well, keeps the ball well and is a fantastic passer of the ball.

Reckon he'll be a decent signing. Fingers crossed anyway.

avfc82 I think you're deluded. Some of us are educated enough to form our own opinions.

There's no way Bacuna is a better RB than Lowton despite how poor he was last season. I think there's a good player in there somewhere, just seems to be struggling massively with a lack of confidence.

Still can't get over that Isco comment. I'm all for being positive but what planet are some of us on? We've just signed Senderos ffs
