first half just about acceptable considering who we are playing. 2nd half utterly and completely unacceptable. Bradford were always looking for a corner knowing they will probably score. Lambert HAS to find away to sort out defending corners

I do feel there is no point in getting rid of Lambert because who else is there who would want the job with this state of affairs. Poor team and a chairman who seems to be more interested on getting the wage bill down than keeping us up. Its makes no difference if you give a manager 100 million to spend if you cap the wages at say 30k you'll only get the same standard of player

These next 3 games will not define our season. If we get any points it will be a bonus. Its the 4 games after we need to dominate that will start to shape what will happen to us.

Villa are vying to win consecutive home matches within the same season for the first time in 28 months.

If Mark Hughes was still in charge I would have expected us to go for the win yesterday.

With Harry Redknapp (a new manager) being in charge, 1st game and with his record I think a draw is a fantastic result.

Fact is our last two matches, we have played in my opinion quite poorly but have got 4 points. If we can play poor and pick up points this can only be a good thing!!

Our defence (considering) have been fantastic last 3 matches (1 goal in 3). We just miss that someone to link defence with striker, supply some goals for Benteke, Bent, Gabby, Weimann etc. I do not know who that person is in our team? Ireland?

I like Bannan but he is just so wasteful in the last 3 matches. Holman looks more an impact player. Delph did well defensively today. KEA? Until we can get some decent supply, whats the point in playing Bent anyway?

Really good post. Fully agree. To only concede 1 goal considering we have had no Vlaar and using 3rd choice left back is impressive. Look at United without Vidic conceded 3 against Reading

Good 1st half, but did not create enough chances, Poor first 20 mins in 2nd half and ended well in the 2nd half although looked vunerable at the back. That maybe because of us going for the winner.

Seems likely now we will be stuck with Hutton and Warnock possibly for the season. Not because we don't want rid but because no one else wants them.

The dilemma we now face will be do we have them as part of the team or freeze out 2 experienced players who are taking up valuable space in the wage bill.

Realistically to give the squad a new feel to it, I'd say we could do with 3 more. Add to that getting rid of Collins and hopefully Hutton and Warnock, hopefully it would help the atmosphere and mentality of the squad.

I imagine Collins will be going to Sunderland still.

Not sure its iconic, but when Dwight Yorke scored 2 diving headers against Liverpool to win 2-0 and the commentator saying '' you can feel the relief around Villa Park'' after a relegation scare. Guess its in my mind because of this season being the way it is ;( .
