  1. 10 to 15, although anything from 8 to 17 seems to be covered by a fairly low spread these days. Confident that we won't go down but no idea how the new guys will gel. Haven't been this excited in years though

  2. I saw a very young Dwight Yorke play one of his first ever games for villa for a Villa XI back in pre season 89 against my home club Cirencester Town.

Pretty sure I was at that game as well, only once though, still have the programme somewhere.

  3.

I would def pay for a villa season ticket on Sky, but outside of the clubs that could fil ltheir ground twice over every week most clubs would see a decrease in attendances so I wouldn't imagine it will ever happen.

Out of interest, because i can never seem to find a good one, what is a good place to stream Villa games from?

Move to America and get cable/satellite TV (except for the 1-2 companies that NBC has been unable to cut deals with).

Was ideally looking for a slightly cheaper option than relocating to the States, although I will put that on the reserve list.

  4. If that is a real word.....

I have a wordpress blog, one of the free ones so I don't pay for hosting or anything like that. I wrote an article on it that took off a bit last year and has now had over 18,000 views and appears on the front page of google under the correct search term - as far as I can see there is no way to earn from it within Wordpress, no widgets for advertising etc.

Anyone got any ideas as to whether there is a way to achieve this? Not looking to earn loads but just intrigued as to whether it is possible.

  6. I have been using my 4 month old son as a cover story for why I am buying stickers at the age of 32 (it is for when he is older), finally I stumbled upon this thread and I can exhale and tell the world - THEY ARE ALL FOR ME DAMMIT!!!

Anyway, I have the following available for swapsies, PM me if I can sort you out with any of them, I still need a good 400 or so, so I will most likely need some of what you have too.

    22, 30, 38, 48, 54, 65, 150, 154, 158, 182, 222, 225, 244, 253, 259, 277, 310, 311, 325, 326, 360, 376, 408, 430, 433, 442, 453, 494, 517, 535, 549, 594, 613

I also now have an irrational hatred of Hugo Lloris' face.

  7. 12-14 is considered normal size I think you'll find and having been shoppng this weekend you do not see those sizes as they are so popular whereas you get an 8 in anything.

As said previously size doesn't really come into it and as I met my better half some 24 years ago and she's gone from 10 to 18 and back and now resides about 12 I'm happy I'm not so shallow that it does

yes, size 12 is considered normal now because too many people are overweight!

but i agree with you, in terms of a partner, size is irrelevant.

    personality is much more important.

but this question is about how you like your women, personality being given as a constant.

Not sure the question applies to life partners who hopefully at least we all pick on personality.

However nobody looks across a room and says "phooorrr look at the personality on her" do they.

In the same way that a good sense of humour is important on us blokes, but when was the last time you saw a stunning bird walking round a club looking for some bloke telling knock knock jokes?!

Personally I prefer them smaller both in terms of weight and height, I am a skinny tall man so being with a bigger girl is going to fill too many steroetypes for my liking. Petite is good for me, my missus is an 8, but 10 -12 is fine too - height has a lot to do with it.

  8. I'm shocked that so many people want him to stay. I mean, he had a chance to redeem himself after the deadline for his transfer, yet once again he kicked us in the face. I was willing to give him a chance the first time (although that itself was at a push), yet there is no way I will now. Even if he does stay, I will be totally against it. If he scores for us, I will cheer, as I support the Villa. Yet, I will never support Barry ever again, and I am totally against him ever being captain for us again, if he does stay. I just want rid of him now, but for the right price. He is a disgrace to this football club, and has made a mockery of us all. Some people can forgive and forget I suppose. Yet, I just can't do that, and I have lost all respect for Barry. That's just my opinion, and everyone is entitled to their own.

I am in a similar boat on him now - I was all for him moving on to progress his career, so long as we got the right amount then I could understand his reasons, then he muddied the waters with the NOTW article, again I was angry but could understand what he was doing, I genuinely thought after the Odense game he would have seen enough with the crowd, RObbie Keane being signed and the offer of a new contract with presumably an escape clause in it, to stay for one more year and leave with dignity at the end of this season - a thought that was proved right - or so I thought - with the statement saying he was staying. The fact that he threw his toys out after that and still insisted on being let go really took the piss - so now I will support him when he wears the Claret and Blue but I have no time for him, and he should not even get close to the captains armband ever again - he is a good player though so I won't begrudge him if he performs - but he really is going to have to have a good season if he is still here come the 1st september...

  9. Integrity and honesty is all we have the right to ask of you General, something that I believe we have had from page 1 of this thread from you, and from day 1 of Randy taking over the club, I genuinely feel that the clubs values are clear for all to see in the way that we operate. There has been a lot of "passion" displayed recently, a lot of it misplaced if you like, I see that another poster has pointed out the other thread running on the board at the moment, if you get a chance to read it you can see that there is still some common sense left!

I recently watched the season review DVDs for 05/06 06/07 and 07/08 in that order, it is pretty clear that progress has been made unbelieveably quickly and I for one am thoroughly enjoying the journey. There is plenty of hard work ahead for all at the club, but I feel we have the right people in the right places to get there.

    All the best General

Quick question though.....why dont we have a right back, how much money is available, who are we buying, why was there no Sprite available at the drinks kiosk when I got there, when is randy going to give a huge press conference, there was a window ledge that was the wrong shade of claret in the North stand - is it a priority to get that changed, and why on earth when the cost of everything else is rising is the price of my season ticket going up - I would have thought that would stay the same forever???? :winkold:

  10. Hives,

Did the frontman annoy you with his constant allusions to his greatness etc.?

And this year I'm going to Reading and V for the Muse day (surprise surprise).

To be honest I found it quite funny, mainly because I dont think they are "the greatest band in the world" but I enjoyed the fact that he thought it. I think most frontmen have that kind of arrogance though. KOL were great but they didnt really talk to the crowd at all which ive heard is fairly common

  11. Haven't been to a fez for years, usually can't stand them to be honest but the saturday lineup for Rockwerchter has tempted us to do one day. The lure of Radiohead, Sigur Ros & the Editors on the same bill couldn't be passed up. With the added sort of bonuses of Kings of Leon & Band of Horses plus KT Tunstall (who my daughter likes) and the ability to be able to checkout MGMT who some people are raving about (but I've yet to see any reason why) makes all in all for a great dayout. None of that camping shit though, hotel in Brussels the night before, free train transport to the festival, hotel in the town centre the night of the festival, fly back the next day.

If I was doing a Festival in the UK this year it would definitely have been Latitude, which I might check out next year. Latitude's line up this year looked most excellent and next year I might even be persuaded to buy a tent and do the camping thing

I did the full four days at Werchter - was absolutely amazing - good atmosphere, great music, Hives, and Kings of Leon were the stand out guys for me.

  12. As much as I hate to say it - if Keane and Torres works then I think Liverpool are actually alot stronger this year than last - Kuyt was very very good in the Euros, predominantly in a wider stiking role that is similar to where he plays at pool, if he carries that on then one of their problem positions is sorted, and Babel could come good having got a season under his belt. Their centre halves look solid particularly with agger back meaning that carragher could even shift to right back. If they are as lucky with injuries as we were last season I can actually see them lasting beyond xmas this season in the title race, dont get me wrong I still think Man U or Chelsea will take it because they have real strength in depth, but I wouldnt discount Liverpool if they get a head of steam and pull off some results against the other contenders.

And yes I do feel dirty saying the above.

  13. Well if anything should wake the mother up to the futility of her life choices then it would be searching for her lost daughter - so in the time that has passed if she has stopped taking the drugs or at least made an effort so that her mind is clear to help find her daughter then I would consider giving the kid back - if she hasnt changed or even noticed that her daughter has gone then I wouldn't.

I know addictions are hard to kick etc but it would be the easy choice for her to say my daughter has been kidknapped, I am distressed so I am going to shoot up to take away the pain.
