  1. When you look at what abdulaziz1 has posted & the fact this guys nephew has been in Brum Plus looking at City & Arsenal's Stadiums. Is it too much of a conincdence?

Don't get me wrong I am grateful Abdul has an inside track elsewhere rather than these supposed ITKs, who have fallen by their swords. I'll be the first to admit, I've been called out on a few things in my time with people misleading me information. But I have a good few contacts now days & nobody within the UK knows anything about the takeover speculation.

Even the likes of SimonTee have been shot down recently, a guy who in the past, has 9/10 times been right with regards to speculation surrounding our great club.

I don't want to build my hopes up very much like I did with Bob. But what Abdul has been posted for us, just simply cannot be ignored. The guy has not made a song and dance about this prince, just giving us what he has heard. Many peeps in the past would have shot someone down for suggesting this prince, but I find his information creditable. The fact other Saudi users on Twitter etc have linked this guy to us as well, for me just seems to good to be true.

But lets see guys, still a long way to go but again Abdul, thank you for your information & keep up the good work

  2.

It's been a while since there has been a snippet of decent takeover rumours so hoping Abdulazizz is correct with his source, does tie in nicely with the Telegraph rumour section.

Hope Randy can lower his asking price, hope he serves the club as the "great custodian" that he is!!

    What's the Telegraph rumour?

Lerner, who hopes to exit by the start of the next football season, has offered Aston Villa to two unnamed Middle East investors at the reduced price of £150m.

  3. Sounds like Keane was offered the role when IC & GK got sacked. PL wants him but in the latest report Keane won't take it up the role and wants to focus on Ireland! Via The Mirror

  4. Ok I'm going to ask the question here, I put it down to a lack of Coffee. But is having Tevfik Eren/Doyen group coming into us such as bad idea?

At least we'd have some bright young talent gracing VP. Plus as long as I've been a fan, we have always sold our best players. So this would be the norm.

  5.

Just as a follow up to those tweets above the same guy said this on someone else's timeline

    Tim Harding ‏@coeur_de_lion__ 9h

@Bisqwit and he's pretty sure that HOUSTON is the key game #avfc

I guess that would point back to AEG.

Didn't Tim Harding put up the photos that started palletgate?

    What's palletgate?

A few seasons ago someone posted a photo of the new home shirt before it was revealed, followed by plenty of discussion if it was real or not.

Oh and the shirt was lying on a pallet.

Yeah I remember that photo! http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/new-0708-aston-villa-kit_306

  6. I dunno I come away for an evening and its all kicking off with Doyen Sports, Tim Harding's tweets and Frank Leigh sticking to the Saudi consortium with a European CEO story.

Either way gang, I think it is getting more & more convincing that we will be sold come the start of the season at the latest.

During his Radio Four interview Keith Harris stated that if someone comes in with a bid then a they can get it done very quickly if they want to.

If I turned up at Villa Park tomorrow morning with £200,000,000 cash, I'm pretty sure I'd own the club within a few weeks.

Harris also mentioned it took Roman Abramovich six days (rather than six months) to conclude a deal to buy Chelsea. I am sure there are other examples of takeovers taking less than six months too.

Fulham was less than 6 weeks and Rovers was round 3 as I remember. Simply enough, the media ain't being feed anything.

  8. As I was saying to you guys yesterday, Doogan and the PR boys will be doing there utmost to keep any dealings under wraps.

If you think about it, even the best guys in the business such as Kendrick, don't know what is going to come out from Villa one day to the next. Take this week. We've gone from Lambert saying he knows nothing, to the bomb squad will be made available to now Lambert knows what the hell is going on.

What Charlie is saying might be true, but lets look at Fulham for a second. They was sold on the 12th of July, their sale took no more than 6 weeks as I remember. The other factor you have to throw in here is Al Fayed is understood to have asked financier Keith Harris to find a buyer for the club. Harris assisted in the takeovers that led to Randy Lerner coming in at Aston Villa.

People are overacting to what Charlie said last night. The deal fell through with one deal as Lerner moved the goal posts. If you look at what Admin said this is spot on. The fact Charlie and Co are not getting any information on the dealings is frustrating to them as they need this information to write stories. But, they do not understand it makes us nervous and uneasy when you see stuff like that being written on twitter feeds etc.

I am confident something is in the pipeline? Very much so. Villa are keeping things seriously close to their chest. They don't want anything being leaked until the ink is dry.

Question for you guys, as we know Faulkner is on the board of directors now at the F.A. - he didn't look to happy from the photos of him at the cup final. But here's my question, IF Faulkner goes to the World Cup in a few weeks time with the F.A., what's your reaction or how would you sum that up?

  9. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/477369/Paul-Lambert-DESPERATE-to-keep-Aston-Villa-s-stars-as-Randy-Lerner-caps-spending

    Has anyone read this yet?

Lambert was told months in advance by Lerner that he was intending to sell but had to keep it private until the official announcement.

"It was my job to protect the club, that's what I did," said Lambert. "How did I feel when I went over to New York at the weekend to speak with Randy Lerner? Tired. It had all been on my shoulders, all the problems of the season, I had to protect everything and I did that.

"Even if we were to get off to a flyer to the new season, I don't think it would change Randy Lerner's mind about selling. The chairman has been great and honest but I don't think it'll change his mind.

"With regard to selling players, Randy will let me decide. You have to understand and respect his good work here. That shouldn't be overlooked. But you have to respect he wants to do his own thing.

"When the new owners come in they will judge what I've done with their own eyes.

"I've never been one to be self-centred. The most important thing is this club. All I can do is my best. It's really unsettling but it is what it is. You can't change it.

"I'm relieved it's out there, I knew what was happening but my job was to protect everything.

"I don't regret anything. If it all ended tomorrow you would take an unbelievable experience. The pressure is big, but there's always something good to come out of it and Aston Villa can be big again."

Wouldnt have thought all this uncertainty and bad news would be selling loads of season tickets. Wonder what they are like in comparison to this time last year.

Last I heard they have only sold 6500, that is way down on the 10000+ from last season

Wonder if they are cutting down on the phone bills as well. Might not be ringing round pushing them this year.

No over on TBAR they are raging about this. One bloke was called every day last week by the staff to renew.

Another said if won't renew if PL is still there which the clerk replied "If he is we'll refund you".

I was talking about renewing mine, one fan said they had a call, said if PL was there he won't be & the clerk offered him a discount from 545 to 395!

    Right....If they are knocking of £150 - I want a refund..........[oh its TBAR!!]

    So do I...twice.

    So do I.... 3 TIMES A LADY!

  13. HA HA! Just nicking time off someone who replied back to me on another forum regarding development of Aston.

Have a look at this Beestie Aston Area Plan 2 years old, the area by Witton Road is an area Centre. Remember AVFC also own the old Siemens site. Queens Road nick and the old Leisure Centre (regional investment site) are going to go. This is a mahoosive plan if it ever happens totally regenerating Aston and surrounding areas. Right in the middle of it al? VILLA PARK

  14.

Guys just off the topic of M and S for a sec.

When their was talk 2 years back about the arab's coming in to Villa before "He who shall not be named" came in. There was a lot of talk they wanted to put money into the club.

BUT, there was also talk of the fact Villa own bits of land around Aston. Not just round VP. From what I understood the arab's where going to use VP as a HQ. Rebuild the North and fill in the corners of the stadium.

There was also talk that companies such as Microsoft, Google etc where interested in building HQ's on the plots owed by Villa. Not only would this be central to everyone in the UK being a stones throw away from the City and M5/M6. But it would be money coming back in from the leasing of the land.

As fans we want to see our club do well on the pitch. But sometimes you have to look at it from a business point of view. We could easily do what City are doing given the right backing.

Rich Arabs wanting spluge all their money into the club and financial backing from Microsoft and Google.

Hey that was one of the many chats I've had - One of points raised but was taken with a big pinch of salt. But from a business point of view if Villa own bits of land around aston you can see why people would want to invest.

  16.

Are they also parked away from prying eyes?

It's not where they park, it's how they park.

After it became apparent that Randy Lerner's aircraft was being observed it started parking at an angle where the door was not visible from landside. Passengers would be driven to/from the aircraft with no fear of close scrutiny.

The Rich aircraft was parked in a similar fashion, as some other completely unrelated aircraft are from time to time.

Signature, the handling agent, are well versed in protecting their important clients, and there was/is a notice in their office forbidding any employee to speak about Randy Lerner's aircraft to any enquirer.

For the, the fact M and S are still here in BHX is a massive positive for whom ever they are looking at

  17. The question for me is why would Villa release a story to the press saying Bent or Hutton are back in. But back in Feb Lambert was talking about Bent never playing for Villa again.

For me, Lerner has told Lambert while he is at the club there is no money and that's plain to see. Lambert is planning to make the best of the situation we are in. He is being backed by a chairman who doesn't want to buy players, renew contracts to senior players or put more money into the club. He wants out plain and simple.

I look at this story and think have Villa released this to scare people and throw them off the whole takeover talk?

Frankly, Lambert has been dealt a crappy deal by Lerner and respect to him for carrying on. But, it is a man who said Lerner comes to games in disguise and Bent would never play for Villa again. A big pinch of salt is required gang.

Looks at these 2 articles and let me know what you think:
  18. People seem to have a lot of opinions about someone we didn't even know about two days ago.
