I would like to believe that RDM wouldn't even sit down to talk terms without certain 'assurances' regarding the takeover

Very please with RDM and Clarke!
It's interesting that the BBC have said that Clarke will take on the hands-on approach for the squad don't you think? I wonder what role Di Matteo will play in this?
RDM will tell them what he wants them to do, Clarke will slap them silly until they do it

do i not like that. we have one of the finest and traditional grounds in the world,we also have room to expand if need be. all this new stadium talk does not sit well with me. id rather keep our tradition and identity whilst moving forward as a club,we can do both.
Being a season ticket holder in the 80s/early 90s, I remember standing in one of the finest and traditional grounds.
However, there is nothing fine or traditional about a brown shed, knocking down a wonderful brick delight and making it a grey-clad corporate shed, and I won't even mention the witton lane.
I always feel proud to be in Villa Park, I'm just not necessarily proud OF it.

It's times like this I miss Malcolm and his forthright opinions.

I recall some time ago there was a notion that the current grounds and land could be sold for redevelopment, and a new stadium built near Millenium Point, both keeping the club in Aston and also making it walking distance from one of the busiest city centres in the country.
It's controversial, and kicks dust in the face of history.
However the trinity is gone, replaced by a corporate shell, the witton lane is an uncomfortable misnomer and I haven't felt at home in the Holte since I could no longer stand. Only the North stand remains of what I knew of Villa Park when I still lived in brum and had a season ticket.
Just my thoughts

I wouldn't read too much into that, of course it could mean what you are implying but it's more likely he meant that the club potentially might be sold. Of course this is Lerner so who knows?
To be honest, the whole article sounds like he's just opening his mouth and words are falling out. Like everything that comes out of Villa at the moment

Funny how Eric Black used the phrase "potentially up for sale" in this article - http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11677/10261183/aston-villa-called-toxic-by-interim-boss-eric-black?

That Sty Spurts article also quotes him as saying "the club is potentially up for sale"
potentially?

I have to say, the Spring update has made this game a lot more fun again

Played the alpha of the Division but I'm not allowed to talk about it.
Not in public anyway. Heard a few things from a pal and I'm still on the fence...

Q: Do you still believe you have the best job in sport? And why?

Just started watching Heimat again, for the... what? fourth? fifth? time. Utter genius.
I got completely hooked on this too, although the second and third series didn't quite hit the spot for me.
Generation War on Netflix is also quite superb, as is Deutschland 83

Considering how well we've done against lower league opposition in the cups over the last few years, my hopes (should the pattern of results and performances remain unaltered and we go down) for a speedy return aren't all that high.

I'm really hoping The Division is good and has learnt from Watchdogs

I know this has been asked before, but I cannot find it:
Is there any further development with AVTV being useable on a mac?

from your wrist to your elbow joint is exactly the same size as your foot.
*how many people will be testing that out in an office!!!*
and in the second installment of elbow trivia... "It is impossible to lick your elbow"
..... go on office workers....try it!
It's not imposible. It's not easy, but it's not impossible

Worry about facts, not rumours.
Yes, it would be a boon to sign Schneider.
Still cannot see the fascination in Bellamy though.
