    It's spreading.....

I've just found out a mate of mine and his pals have half a dozen tickets in Block 209 😀

    anyone else/anymore i wonder ???

    I have 2 in 207

  2. two reasons for this ;-

    1) it deflects attention and conversation away from plane spotting.......

    2) it clears the decks for uneasy questions that may get asked when due diligence takes place and even if the former bomb squad members aren't required by a new manager / owner it helps to make them more sellable (although not easy)...and in the meantime they can step in if needed as opposed to for example resigning Grant Holt...

  3. Heres a conspiracy theory for you from my girlfriends bluenose dad ( ) - Padfield is a PR stunt by Lerner to get shareholders to sell more quickly. Lerner will then asset strip (how I ask with our lack of assets) and Villa will get relegated.

I do feel sorry for these jealous morons!

    :crylaugh:

so whys she still your girlfriend? :winkold:

  4. Ok so I understood all of that Richard.......can you or anyone answer me this.....

I own 100 shares and am fully behind the Randy Lerner bid.....

    1) Can I sell him 99 of my 100 shares.

    2) If he gets more than 75% but less than 90% and the club delists then does that 1 share give me the right to attend shareholder meetings?

As it happens when my offer docs arrive I'll probably sell the 100 anyhow, but I'd still like to know if anyone can help......hope that all makes sense!!

I think once the club goes private again there will be no more shareholders meetings so to speak

Actually I know the answer thinking about it........they held shareholder meetings prior to becoming a PLC and all Ltd Co's have shareholders meetings, so I have to disagree Totti, unless they get to the 90% plus

  6. what I can't understand in all of this is that if Padfield & chums really want to win this bid why don't they come out and really try and convince the fans by naming who the consortium is. If their estimated wealth is what they say it is, I read a combined total of 10billion in last nights Mail then those names would get more backing from the fans if they are reputable people. I can't see a logical reason for not naming them. In addition to date we are told that they haven't signed a confidentiality agreement, so are unable to progress.

I believe its all talk from Padfield, and badly done at that. I think we'll be welcoming Mr Lerner next Wednesday night.

  7. Villa boss caught up in airport chaos Aug 10 2006

PASSENGERS suffering delays at airports around the UK following anti-terror raids this morning were in good company - Villa's Doug Ellis and Martin O'Neill's flights were also hit.

Club chairman Ellis was caught up in the chaos after arriving at Birmingham Airport to catch a flight at at 6.15am.

Villa manager Martin O'Neill meanwhile was caught up in the chaos at Heathrow and described the scenes as "complete bedlam".

O'Neill had flown back to Britain from Villa's training camp in Holland, where the team are on a pre-season tour, and was expected back today.

But he was one of thousands of air passengers to suffer severe delays

    ICbirmingham

    so where was Doug going?

  8. it does say £5-10 million investments.......ie plural, it might be 3 * £5 million or 5 * £8 million (I wish). I think it means that we would not at this stage entertain paying more than £10 million for a player
