  1. On the topic of European football, HJK Helsinki of Finland dumped Villa's arch European nemesis, Rapid Vienna, out of the Europa League last night, drawing 3-3 at Vienna (aggregate 5-4) and advancing to the group stage as the first Finnish club ever.

    Semi-sort of revenge exacted!

  2. same lame people will say its great as per normal

i say what i have seen without some childish agenda of defending the club at all costs no matter how much of a prick it makes you look?

Kinda like the same lame people who will moan as per usual with their childish agenda of slating the club at all costs no matter how much of a prick it makes you look?

  3. We had plenty of chances to win it today. No point saying we played shit because we didn't. Just need that one or two extra attacking players. Wish people would stop complaining about attendances when they are making no effort to get down there themselves. Fine if you don't have the money or have commitments, but when you just can't be bothered then don't complain.

Wolves are in form right now. I wasn't looking forward to the game today, but a draw was fair i think. Herd Man of the match for me. Gabby also had another good game.

    My sentiments exactly :thumb:

Especially pleased to see Gabby back to his old self.

  4. Half-time assessment:

Mr. Dowd, get a grip. Not even carding Vidic for the tackle on Gabby? WTF?! Numerous "No more fouls" to Man U players but instantly booking Villa players?! I hate to blame the refs but more often than not the standard of refereeing has been dire this season...

Reckless passing (Cuellar, Collins - I'm blaming you) almost cost us dear. And Dunne's error did that just. Saying that, Man U has made errors, too - we just have to put more pressure on them. Kuszcak is bound to mess up at some point.

  5. Others also agree with me :-)

    That's the intarwebs for ye

    I'm one of them.

    Hear hear!

After coming on, Carew posed loads more goal threat than Heskey. Hell, he was closer to scoring almost straight after coming on than Heskey was in the entire 1st half.

Granted he didn't score and that's what strikers are supposed to do, but, using the cliché, on another day he could've bagged a couple.

All in all, a better performance from him than recently, though that isn't too much to ask really :P
